If you stealth only works properly... as in completing a mission stealthily... when you hack and use melee, then you shouldn't offer other stealth build options that frankly don't allow for stealth.

'Agile gunslinger' and 'stealth headshot' sounds like two different playstyles to me.

The stealth abilities are weapon-neutral, you can use anything that gets the job done. 'stealth' just means not being detected by enemies, whatever method you use to neutralize them. Choking people out requires no perks at all.

Gunslinger would mean to me a pistol specialist, regardless of stealth. 'Stealth gunslinger' sounds like a specialist build that would take a lot longer to bring online. Most games at least expect you to have some levels/crafting/mods before you are allowed to stealth headshot everyone from across the map--in Deus ex this requires many skill points invested to achieve a stable aim and modded weapons, not available from the very start of the game. I'm not saying you're wrong but you may be evaluating a build based on premature assumptions. Kinda like judging the assault rifle build in Underrail after only finishing the first areas when there's no ammo or crafting mats.

People are telling me stealth doesn't work while I am stealth-clearing missions, and that melee is not viable when I am clearing missions with only a knife or my fists. I don't even have any perks invested in those skills so that makes them seem OP as I am dominating the game already. Granted I am still in the starting zone of the city where I expect the enemies are weak, playing on normal, and at this stage probably any strategy is effective. So it is too early for me to say whether any build is good or not.

Melee is pretty viable, especially since I got cyberskin with 200+ armor as a base. It only cost like 14k it was nuts.

Whoever said money was hard to come by is a fucking idiot too, you can literally make 20 grand by doing about 6 of those bandit camp- i mean "crimes in progress".

They're actually worse gameplay than bandit camps since they have civilians that give you nothing if you live but give you warrants if you hurt them by accident.

It seems clear at this point that playing the game on a last-gen console is a terrible experience. My question is, how on earth could they have released it in that state? Someone is going to have some explaining to do.
The red flag was when no one was allowed to show ps4/xbox one gameplay. Reviewers were not allowed to show gameplay footage of the console versions. And any video posted was dmca'd to hell and beyond. The whole release was a red flag. As for "someone is going to have some explaining to do." Believe me, nothing will happen. Fanboys will defend it till kingdom come and most gaming outlets won't say a thing because they want those future review copies and information. Developers simply don't care what state they release their games in any more. Because there simply aren't consequences for them. They care about money and that's it.

This. Naughty Dog horsewhipped their staff for years and gave some of them PTSD making them watch muslim beheading videos to make the gore in the Last of US 2 and there was a big old whine about it and then boom boom boom the game won every fucking award at the game awards, meaning that many of the amazing titles that came out of this year (like yakuza like a dragon) simply did not do well.

Nobody cares. Holding people to account in the video game world is "letting gamergate win" so everyone just lies.

I feel so sorry for the way the game has turned out. I fell in love with the original Witcher from day one. I knew it would be something special from seeing a preview in a printed magazine 15-16 years ago with a few ingame screenshots. And it really was special. I anticipated The Witcher 2 & 3 so much, I unironically think that The Witcher 3 is one of the best games ever made. It is my personal favourite, among many. Yet Cyberpunk turning this way...the mismanagement...the missed potential....I wish things were different.

So creating a game takes more than jerking off and being a terrible manager. Who would have thought. Fuck you Marcin you wanker cuck.

I feel like the best decision right now, is to show patience and play the game in five or six months when its fixed.

I really want to like this but the actual gameplay feels terrible.

I just do not understand how they went from Witcher 3 to this. Compare W3 prologue to this. You get amazing view with Kaer morhen, amazing view when you ride with Vesemir. You get your first missions, story makes sense and they gradually guide you towards finding Yen.

Now compare this to corpo prologue. Its such a waste of potential. After you get
demoted and lose your job
they show montage about you setting up your "new life", but why the heck was this a montage, not a proper mission. They show you things that happen, but then jump you right in to the whole "save a girl" scenario that we saw in gameplay presentation. Like what the hell. There could have been proper two hours prologue with missions made, based on that montage. You know
going with Jakie, getting to know his mom, get the crew to finish your hit on Abernathy, doing the job, celebrating, ect
All this could gradually insert you in to the world and then transition you to your next missions. Instead you get a MONTAGE, and then boom - a mission.

Like what the hell is this storytelling?

After 5-6 hours in corpo playthrough I am not engaged with the game. I make breaks often, because my eyes hurt (I do not know what is wrong with the game, but my eyes legit getting tired and hurt after playing awhile), because I am disinterested, and frankly not enjoying myself all that much. I hope game gets better, but for now I find it lacking.

All of the life paths feel undercooked and tacked on and the corpo is the worst. Life paths weren't even a thing in the 2018 gameplay that was shown. So this is all hastily thrown together and it shows.

I've stocked up 20k already and hardly done more than finish those missions and hack vending machines with the starting cyberdeck. Most missions seem to have a few grand of cyberbucks scattered around. I do find the environments overly cluttered and visually busy which makes parsing out what is actually useful a chore, and the white/green/blue icons barely help. They should have made things like health and ammo more visually distinct. Prey did a far better job with this, although The Outer World's yellow highlights were overkill IMO.

I took the perk that auto-scraps items and then I realized it scraps valuable $750 junk too, and you can't turn it off. Womp womp. THAT is a gameplay flaw.

Exactly. All the good stuff goes unnoticed. But all the shit end up getting awards etc. Games industry is in a pretty sad state.

In all honesty, there's not very much interesting gameplay to be had anyway, so all they are losing on at the moment is the cost of the game.

The game is just seriously boring to play.

Just like any RPG-lite with shitton of voice acting and cutscenes
