I just think it's rather telling that when shills say they're getting "great performance" at High settings they really mean 30FPS and below. That's not acceptable. It's not acceptable that on my GTX 1080 TI (a card more powerful than the majority of both the 2000 and 3000 series baring the 3080 which is only slightly better)I can barely manage 30-40FPS on MEDIUM SETTINGS when the graphics simply aren't good enough on those settings to justify that performance. That's CDPRs fault not mine. My PC performs in the top 5% of PCs, it was expensive as fuck. It should have more than enough power to handle Cyberpunk. So don't fucking say to "just get a better graphics card". Baring in mind, the 3080 can only just manage 60FPS with raytracing off anyway. Cyberpunk should not be running as bad as it does on top of the line gaming PCs. Full stop.
My 3080 is getting me 130-180 FPS, most settings at Ultra preset, DLSS Quality, RT off. 1440p.

So please fuck off with your 60 FPS lmao

BTW the 1080TI is dramatically outperformed by the 3080
Trans-Financial-Man , what are your CPU and RAM? On a 1080ti / 4790k / 8 GB DDR3 I'm going between 50 when driving around and 60 during missions, and that's because I have vsync turned on. Settings are at high/ultra at 1440p. I've posted how to achieve 25% boost with no perceptible loss in quality. So your raging over 40fps on Medium is a bit weird.

I have a Ryzen 7 2700x. And over 32GB of RAM. They're both quite a bit overexcessive for a game like Cyberpunk and yet here we are. I even just checked my BIOS to see if I was underclocking somehow and I'm not. The performance remains the same. I put the cascaded shadows down to low. I put the crowds down to low, I put the majority of settings to medium. And I set the game to 1080p on my 1440p monitor. My drivers are up to date. I am still getting 40FPS in crowded areas and a maximum of 60 when there is very little going on. I've done everything I can think of. I shouldn't have to. My PC is fine. "get a better PC" should never be a valid excuse at this point in time where I know I have more than enough power for Cyberpunk to take advantage of and it just doesn't.

Look lads I'm tired of this shit. You guys want to just play into parts manufacturers hands and just get overly more powerful parts instead of actually expecting devs to optimise their shit you go ahead. But stop acting surprised when devs demand that games all need 200GBs on a SSD minimum and 20GB VRam for a "solid 30fps experience" years before that should ever be necessary.

How much do you think Reeves is responsible for the downfall of 77? I remember CDPR saying they've added a lot more of him to the game with his insistence. This was only about 1-2 years ago too so supposedly after they had already made a bunch of the game. As it is now, I think Reeves has hijacked the game. Usually, in games like this with a voiced protagonist, it's half the protagonist's story and half the player's (if the devs they play they cards right). Here it's 70% Reeves and 30% V's. It's utter drivel too. I have no interest in Keanu Reeves or Johnny Silvercuck, but sadly he's invovled in virtually everything past the title drop.

Keanu is absolutely the worst voice actor in the game, baring some of the bystander NPCs.

It's like he's trying to speak with a bad Bane speech modifier.

1.EXTREMELY dumbed down rpg elements, in fact game is more like gta 5 in cyberpunk then crpg

It is at least better than Witcher 3.

This doesn't say much, doesn't it?

No shit. How many companies that specialise in proper RPG design and development exist? TSI is dead.

Instead they delivered gta5 in cyberpunk. Game is great as a gta clone , SUPER SHITTY as crpg...

how is it great as a gta clone? they literally didn't bother to make a traffic AI. cars just follow paths, if you block their path they won't even try to drive past you. there is litearlly nothing to do in the open world. even the shittiest gta clones
have some side activities or something. the driving itself just feels bad, like you're steering a boat and car physics are non existent. gta 3 had better car physics 20 years ago.

i'm honestly not trying to hate. i was dumb enough to buy the damn collector's edition because i love cyberpunk (the genre) so much and i'm trying to find good things about this game. the city looks cool from the outside that's honestly the only positive thing i can say about it. the story is serviceable but even story relevant npcs like judy have nothing much to say. it's all so shallow.

I love the fact that when you do crime, the police teleport to your location, and you can get away just by running very quickly.

Also, they added scissoring to straight male-female sex. I guess that's a new type of kink I haven't seen before.

GOTY.

The skill system has more depth than I would have ever give CDPR credit for after TW3. Seems to be quite a few different valid build paths with diverse playstyles, although it depends on how easy or difficult it is to min/max.

Question: is there any real point to non-lethal takedowns? Game doesn't seem to care if you murder everyone. Also, how do you level the Cold Blood and Engineer skills?

Lol, so far I haven't seen any real viable build path beyond amping up assault and handgun. Almost everything else is subpar. I like tech weapons, but they feel like electric nerf guns, not real firearms.

That people in here, of all places, are seemingly "ok" with the performance / graphical quality / hardware requirements ratio, and going on about how their 3080/3090 with their nvme SSDs and 16/32 processors are doing fine at sub 60 fps, is a sign the decline is real and irreversible. And this is only the tip of the iceberg of issues this game has, because if you can somehow get past the waves of technical issues, you are left with an action game (not an RPG) with lackluster role playing elements, questionable art direction, and an amateurish implementation of game elements that were available and fine in other games years ago.

The technical issues can be fixed after many patches. The story, writing, and interactions are most likely good. However, the terrible gameplay elements are not going away unless they completely revamp the game, which is not happening.

Any game from any other company than CD Projekt would be unanimously torn to shreds after a release like this.

let's say the game really was in development for 4 years (it feels like they rushed this game out in 2), did nobody at cdpr during all that time notice that the game needs some sort of traffic AI for the world to feel even slightly believeable?
or some general reactivity with the npcs that run around? honestly it's hard to believe the devs don't know what kind if turd this game is. they must laughing their ass off right now with reviewers giving them a 91% for an open world game that's pretty much missing any open world AI.

There's things in the game that aren't bugs, but literally underdeveloped stuff. The contrast between the main campaign, missions and the "open world stuff" is shocking in terms of care and attention. Some elements could require a lot of time to fix, to the point that I'll be not surprised if CD Projekt decides to not address those issues at all.

I'm liking the game so far, but as Witcher 3 has problems here an there in terms of design. The game is carried again by muh atmosphere: Story, chars, the art direction, music, the whole citiy itself and the appreciation for details (When there's not bugs involved spoiling your fun).

Lets make no bones of it, let's not shift the goal posts and redefine any language.

Cyberpunk 2077 was in development for 8 years. Pre-production still counts as development. You're still building assets, creating gameplay in a pre alpha state, developing your game. The game restarted development completely 3 times. But that's still development. The game looks like it was rushed out in 2 years because it was. CDPR spent 6 of an 8 year dev time playing silly buggers. They had 8 FUCKING YEARS to develop the game, were given more leeway than any dev has ever had or ever will again. And THIS

Eo4y_zIXEAMcJNZ

is what they came up with.

Stop giving them excuses when I have talked to actual CDPR devs. And other devs in the industry. They LAUGH at you constantly for being so idiotic and having such low standards. They know they can get away with this shit. And you let them.

No one will convince me now that those "rumors" about the problems with the game's development weren't true.

E: Hooooly fuck how have I not seen this. I guess it's probably because it's Kotaku.
After the publication of our Anthem investigation last month, which documented a turbulent development marked by mismanagement, crunch, and anxiety, four former CD Projekt Red employees reached out to tell me that they had seen similar problems in Warsaw. “I’ve felt that there are hundreds of parallels that could be drawn between the story of the rocky development of Anthem and the story of the rocky and even-more-rocky-to-become development of Cyberpunk 2077,” said one former CDPR employee in an e-mail. “At times, I’ve felt I could just replace the studio name and the game title, and it would all look so similar, almost identical.”

it's 199% legit. this article https://screenrant.com/cyberpunk-2077-npcs/ will also give you a good laugh if you played the game already.

Not only is this legit, when you get hit by a car, there's no ragdoll physics for the player, instead the game stutters and you teleport to the ground.
