Gonna switch my reserve team to Pro Elves because it seems like those are the only missing team.

Goblins are huge amounts of FUN™, but only once they're levelled up. If you could bring a goblin team of higher TV in (bombardiers with hail mary pass are best thing EVAR. Fanatics really need block -- they're already hugely unreliable), they may even have a shot at the championship in the hands of a good coach.

May look impressive, but I see only one vampire injured (and could only be badly hurt from what I know). The rest will be all fine and dandy for the next match.
Thralls don't matter. Journeyman food is as good as regular one for the suckers.

That said, good job whacking them, hoverdog! Where's the replay? Where's the write-up?

Oh hai der guise

So I was hospitalized tuesday. That was fun. Was sent home today, so I'm ready to play some Blood Bowl. Kindda surprised that my inbox isn't full of messages from a desperate Grotsnik.

Anyway, Grotty; I can play you today, tommorrow or saturday. Just name a time today or tommorrow, or late saturday :)

You missed out on Epix Butthurtz in LoL yesterday Grunker. I think I was the catalyst that transformed butthurt whining into a blossom of intense and righteous hatred.

Nice to hear you've not suffred permanent damage.

Well, it would be one way to get three points from the match... If not for the abundance of reserve coaches looking for an opening to squeeze in their elven teams. So, no. Actually looking forward to stomping those flesh golems into the ground.

Wait, I just noticed my blitz-ras cost exactly as much as Your wights, while having AG2, instead of 3. :rage:

Wolves? More like squishy little puppies for my Tomb Guardians. And let's not forget AV7 Ghouls with no regeneration. :)

On the ten turns it'll take your Tomb Guardians to actually reach my positionals, I've already scored 5 touch-downs. So good luck with that 1 block you'll get off :rpgcodex:

***

Whole match turned out rather dull (10/20 rating seems to confirm that), but what follows below is probably even more dull, so consider watching the replay instead.

Kick-off.
The match begins with a coin toss in favour of Alpha Brotocol. Toastboy decides to kick, which is good for me, as I wanted to receive. He puts three Ogres on the LoS, making a second line of defense out of Snotlings supported by the fourth Ogre. This easily disrupts my cunning plan of dominating the LoS with sheer strength, so I decide to put Skeletons there instead of Tomb Guardians, with second line made of TGs and Blitz-ras.

The kick-off event is a quick snap, allowing me to move my slow undead a little closer to the expected ball delivery point (which is rather deep, on the right side) with Jet Li (Ske) put directly onder the ball. Of course, he fails the catch and the ball drops on the ground between him and Harrison Ford (TR).

Legends Outworn, turn #1:
I move Arnold Schwarzenegger (TG) to the ball, while making a protective screen with the other players. After everyone is set, I Blitz Squeal Armstrong (Sno) with Jean-Claude Van Damme (BR), getting a stun and using the rest of the move to mark Konstantin Broyko - the one Ogre not set on the LoS. Finally, I make a pick-up attempt with Harrison Ford (TR). It's a success! I move Harrison behind the afermentioned screen, putting him in a loose cage (with cage rear being the players surrounding the ball).

Alpha Brotocol, turn #1:
Toastboy first moves some Snotlings, surrounding the front and left side of my cage and then starts pounding with his Ogres at Skeletons marking them. Bronrad Marburg and Konstantin Broyko only achieve pushes, while Michael Brorton goes Bonehead. Finally, Albabross manages to knock down Brandon Lee, and only Thick Skull saves the Skeleton from ending up in the KO box.

LO #2:
Since Brandon Lee (Ske) is unavailable, I first move Jet Li (Ske) to replace him as Albabross' (O) marker. Next, I blitz Pavel Bropovich (Sno) with Chuck Norris (BR), not gaining anything (Attacker Down/Push/Push). After a few moments of thought I decide that a cage corner marked by a Snotling is an acceptable risk and move Harrison Ford (TR) and his buddies to the left side.

AB #2:
Toastboy moves some Snotlings to assist Ogres in upcoming blocks and some more to screen my cage from progressing. Next he has some bad luck, as Konstantin Broyko fails his bonehad roll, wasting team's blitz for this turn. Albabross and Michael Brorton have more luck, knocking down Bruce Lee and stunning Jackie Chan respectively. Toastboy also moves aptly named Death from Above 1979 (Sno) to Bronrad Marburg (O), who then tries a wacky Snotling toss at my cage. It's close, but DfA'79 lands in Sylvester Stallone's TZ and is stunned.

LO #3:
I pick up some Skeletons and mark the Ogres again (not much more they can do with their awesome ability lineup of MA5 ST3 AG2 AV7) and then once more blitz Pavel Bropovich (Sno) with Chuck Norris (BR), getting a KO (yay). Next, I move my cage forward and towards the left sideline, again with one corner marked by a Snotling, and mark another Snotling with Arnold Schwarzenegger the TG - this is also supposed to screen the cage from an Ogre blitz. My final move is a block by Jean-Claude Van Damme on Snotty Pippen (who was supposed to be assisting a blitz in previous turn), getting a smashed hip result - the first of only two casualties in the match.

AB #3:
The first event of Alpha Brotocol's turn is a failure of Bonehead on Albabross. After that Bronrad Marburg (O) manages to push away Bruce Lee (Ske), freeing up his Ogre buddy Michael Brorton (note to self, a single Skeleton won't be able to mark two Ogres effectively), who then blitzes and knocks down Arnold Schwarzenegger (TG). Next, there's some Snotling movement and a failed Bonehead on Konstantin Broyko (that's 4 Boneheads on 3 turns so far).

LO #4:
I pick up and move some skeletons, running around bonehaded Ogres, and blitz Bronald McNair (Sno) with Chuck Norris (BR) - KO. I move the cage a few steps forward (changing it more to a screen or half-cage) along the left sideline. The final move is picking up Arnold, who I almost forgot about.

AB #4:
Toastboy starts by blitzing Jackie Chan (Ske) from point blank with Bronrad Marburg (O)and manages a knockdown after a re-roll, using the rest of the move to place the mighty Ogre in front of my cage. Then he moves some Snotlings and blocks with two more Ogres (only managing pushes), leaving Michael Brorton standing as he is, in front of Arnold.

LO #5:
I move pushed Skeletons back into positions and one more to assist Arnold on a block, which is consecutively made. Michael Brorton is knocked down, but only after a re-roll. Chuck Norris (BR) blitzes Squeal Armstrong (Sno), stunning him. I then move the cage forward and into the center, for it to be surrounded by four Ogres (great idea, I know). Forgetting that a re-roll was already used this turn, decide to make some GFIs with Tomb Guardians. The very first one fails, knocking Dolph Lundgren on the ground and leaving Harrison Ford (ball carrier TR) completely exposed.

AB #5:
Toastboy decides to go into the heavy action first and blitzes Harrison Ford with Albabross (O). This requires a dodge roll, which is made after a re-roll. The block dice give [Attacker Down/Pushed] result, so not that bad for me - except my AG2 ball carrier is now marked by an Ogre. Next, there's some skeleton pushing, Snotling dodging and an attempt for a Snotling toss by Michael Brorton - a complete miss, with a successful landing by Death from Above 1979 in Arnold Schwarzenegger's TZ.

LO #6:
Once again I move the pushed skeletons back into their positions (rather surprised that all of them are still on the pitch, to be honest), pick up Dolph Lundgren and move Clint Eastwood, managing to get three assists for Chuck Norris to block Albabross, who is knocked down. The freed Harrison Ford runs like hell towards the endzone (completely unprotected). A touchdown this turn would require two GFIs, which I decide not to take, being sure that none of the Ogres will be able to catch up. I also blitz Fuzz Aldrin the Snotling with Jean Claude Van Damme (knock-down) and block Death from Above 1979 with Arnold (push).

AB #6:
Toastboy starts with a Snotling toss attempt, but Bronrad Marburg fumbles the throw and Abdul Ahad Bromand falls to the ground, stunned. Next, he marks my players with Snotlings, picks up Albabross and manages a dodge (!) and two GFIs (!) with him to mark Harrison Ford again - all this without needing a re-roll. Following that, Michael Brorton blitzes Jackie Chan (stunned) and marks Jean-Claude Van Damme (BR) while Konstantin Broyko makes a dodge (!) and GFI (!) to further pressure the ball-carrier, stopping only two squares away.

LO #7:
I start by blocking Squeal Armstrong with Chuck Norris, knocking the Snotling down and freeing up Clint Eastwood and Dolph Lundgren. Dolph then blitzes Albabross, pushing him away from Harrison Ford. After an unsuccessful block from Jean-CLaude Van Damme on Fuzz Aldrin (3x pushed) I run Harrison into the endzone.

Legends Outworn 1:0 Alpha Brotocol

Kick-off.
Pavel Bropovich comes back from KO and enters the pitch along with the reserve player Ellison Bronizuka (S). This brings Alpha Brotocol's number of players up to 10. Legends Outworn are somehow still full at 11.

I set up a three-line defense with three Skeletons on the LoS and TGs and another Skeleton a few squares back and Blitz-Ras and Thro-Ras as the deep defense. Toastboy brings all four Ogres to the LoS with Snotlings scattered all over his own half to cover as much ground as possible.

Again I'm lucky with kick-off event, getting a riot, which leaves Toastboy with only one turn to equalize this half. Already his best bet was the legendary Throw Team-Mate maneuver, but now he has no choice but to employ it.

AB #7 #8:
Toastboy sends Abdul Ahad Bromand (Sno) to pick up the ball (success) and immediately hands it off to Fuzz Aldrin. At this moment I start to wonder what is going on, as Fuzz is in the center of his own half - hardly the good starting place for a TTM. Meanwhile on the LoS Albabross goes bonhead, but Toastboy re-rolls '1' into '4' and the Ogre knocks down Bruce Lee (Ske). Fuzz Aldrin runs toward the LoS and makes a successful pass to Squal Armstrong, who stands right by Michael Brorton - all ready to TTM. Except that TTM is considered a pass action, which was just used up for Alpha Brotocol for this turn. As a consolation for Toastboy, I have to admit that I also learned this the hard way a while back, and if I knew he wasn't aware, I would have warned him (probably...).
Unable to score, Toastboy pounds some more Skeletons with Ogres (Thick Skull saves Jackie Chan from a KO) with turn and the first half ending when Konstantin Broyko rolls a Both Down against Brandon Lee.

Kick-off:
Bronald McNair comes back from the KO box, so both teams are now full squad. I leave my defense as it was, but Toastboy rearranges his players, leaving only Konstantin Broyko (O) supported by two Snotlings on the LoS.

One of the fans, probably angry at the dullness of the match, hurls a rock at Jackie Chan, stunning him. The ball lands just behind the LoS, next to Konstantin Broyko and Ellison Bronizuka (Sno).

AB #9:
Toastboy moves his players upwards, surrounding the ballwith three Ogres and three Snotlings, before finally making a pick-up attempt with Michael Brorton (O) - it's a success. Furthermore, Konstantin Broyko knocks down Bruce Lee and Fuzz Aldrin runs up to the fallen Jackie Chan, fouling him with help of his two buddies. Jackie is stunned by this turn of events (but he already was, so no change).

LO #9:
I move Brandon Lee (Ske) to mark Albabross (O) and Death From Above 1979 (Sno), at the rear of Toastboy's cage. Bruce Lee gets up and marks Konstanin Broyko at the front. I also move Sylvester Stallone to limit the cage progression and blitz Fuzz Aldrin (Sno) with Chuck Norris (BR), achieving a KO and use the remaining movement to mark Bronrad Marburg the third cage-making Ogre and move Arnold Schwarzenegger (TG) next to Ellison Bronizuka (Sno) on the LoS.

AB #10:
Toastboy starts by blocking Brandon Lee (Ske) with DfA'79 (Sno), achieving a push. Konstantin Broyko (O) knocks down Bruce Lee (Ske) and Bronrad Marburg (O) pushes away Chuck Norris (BR). Brandon Lee suffers one more hit - this time from Albabross - and gets badly hurt. Regeneration puts him back on his feet and into the reserves box. Finally, Toastboy blitzes Sylvester Stallone with his Michael Brorton, his ball carrier, which ends in a push, using the remaining movement to return back inside the cage.

LO #10:
I stand up my knocked down players and use Dolpg Lundgren (TG) to blitz Bronald McNair (Sno) standing next to the ball-carrying Michael Brorton (O), managing a push. Arnold Schwarzenegger (TG) blocks Ellison Bronizuka (Sno) and also gets only a push (damn Snotlings!) with Sylvester Stallone (TG) having a bit more luck and managing to knock down Pavel Bropovich, although without breaking the Snotlings' armor.
I move Jet Li (Ske) to replace the KO'd Brandon Lee as Albabross' marker, go a few steps forward with Jean-Claude Van Damme, since he's now out of blitzing range - being part of the deep defense and make two GFIs with Chuck Norris to mark Michael Brorton from the other side as well. The inside of Toastboy's cage is getting a bit crowded with four Ogres, two Snotlings, a Tomb Guardian, a Blitz-Ra and a Skeleton in a rather tight space.

AB #11:
Toastboy makes the crowd even denser, moving Abdul Ahad Bromand (Sno) to the action for an assist. Konstantin Broyko (O) blocks and stuns Dolph Lundgren (TG) while Albabross fails his bionehead roll. Bronrad Marburg and Michael Brorton knock down Jackie Chan (Ske) and Chuck Norris (BR) respectively. DfA'79 (Sno) moves in and fouls Dolph Lundgren with four assists, but doesn't accomplish anything.

LO #11:
I start with a block from Arnold Schwarzennegger (TG) on Ellison Bronizuka (Sno), getting 3x both down (re-rolled into a push). After picking up Chuck Norris, I block Pavel Bropovich (Sno) with Sylvester Stallone (TG) and Bronald McNair (Sno) with Bruce Lee (Ske) - both also pushes. I move Jet Li to mark M.ichael Brorton (and two other Ogres - yeah...) and finally blitz Michael Bropovich with Jean-CLaude Van Damme (BR), achieving a stun.

AB #12:
Toastboy's turns starts with Konstantin Broyko going bonehad and a few seconds later Albabross also going bonehad. After that, Bronrad Marburg blitzes Bruce Lee, sending him to the KO box and finally making some space for the cage to progress. All is futile though, as MIchael Brorton also goes Bonehead and refuses to move from his current spot. Toastboy surrounds him with Snotlings and fouls Dolph Lundgren again - to no effect.

LO #12:
I blitz Michael Brorton with Sylvester Stallone, getting [Attacker Down/Pushed], re-roll it to [Attacker Down/Both Down] and suffer a turnover when both players are knocked down. The ball falls to a spot surrounded by boneheaded Konstantin Broyko, Abdul Ahad Bromand (Sno) and Squeal Armstrong (Sno).

AB #13:
Toastboy's turn starts with Michael Brorton failing his bonehad roll AGAIN and refusing to stand up and quickly ends with a double '1' on a Snotling dodge - DfA'79 not only falls down, but also fails his armor roll, going straight to KO box.

LO #13:
I start with a block from Dolph Lundgren (TG) on Squeal Armstrong (Sno), getting a [Both Down/Both Down/Attacker Down], but manage to re-roll it into a Defender Down (using up my last re-roll nonetheless) and push the sontling onto the ball which then scatters a few times, with players unsuccessfully trying to catch it, and ends up ina spot next to standing Jet Li (Ske), boneheaded Albabross and lying Sylvester Stallone (TG). I first pick up Sylvester and move two more players near the ball. Finally, I block Ellison Bronizuka (Sno) with Arnold Schwarzenegger (TG), achieving a stun, blitz Abdul Ahad Bromand (Sno) with Jackie Chan (Ske) - only a push - and move Harrison Ford (TR) upfield for a potential pickup try next turn.

AB #14:
Toastboy wakes up Konstantin Broyko and Michael Brorton, using the second one to blitz Dolph Lundgren (TG) - getting a push - and move near the ball. Albabross is also woken up, which activates his TZ on the ball. The fourth Ogre, Bronrad Marburg, fails his Bonehead check, but is moved near the ball too, after a re-roll. Next, there's a lot of Snotling movement and the ball area gets suddenly very crowded, with six players surrounding it directly - four mine and two Toastboy's Ogres.

LO #14:
Arnold Schwarzenegger (TG) blitzes Pavel Bropovich (Sno), achieving only a push and ending up marking Bronrad Marburg (O). Jackie Chan (Ske) is moved to mark Konstantin Broyko (O) while Harrison Ford (TR) blocks Bronald McNair (Sno), also only pushing the little bugger. I can't think of anything else to do, so I pass the turn.

AB #15:
Toastboy needs to move with the ball this turn if he wants to score (except for last turn desparate TTM try, of course) and starts by blocking Sylvester Stallone (TG) with Bronrad Marburg (O) - knocking him onto the ball, which bounces into the Chuck Norris' (BR) hands! I'm thinking 2-0 at this point, but my hops are soon shattered. First, Albabross knocks down Dolph Lundgren, reducing the number of TGs guarding the ball carrier to zero. Then Michael Brorton blitzes Chuck, knocking him down too. The ball falls on a completely unguarded square - for a moment at least, as it is soon picked up by Bronald McNair (Sno), who makes two dodges to get there and two GFIs to go back and hide behind his Ogre buddy. It's obvious for me that Toastboy is going to try that desperate last-turn TTM I mentioned, if he's not stopped.
For a good finish of the turn, Konstantin Broyko KOs Jackie Chan, with Thick Skull once again depriving the Ogre of rightfully earned casualty SPPs.

LO #15:
I pick up Dolph Lundgren and make a block on Bronald McNair with Jet Li (Ske). The Snotling is knocked down, with ball scattering to a spot surrounded by my two blitz-ras and Harrison Ford (TR). Thinking 2-0 once again I immediately try to pick it up with Harrison, but he fails his Sure Hands roll and I suffer a turnover.

AB #16:
The ball is still in TZ of two my players, so Toastboy starts decides to get to it by force. Michael Brorton (O) knocks down Chuck Norris (BR) while Bronrad Marburg does the same with Jean-Claude Van Damme. The latter falls onto the ball, which scatters in beteeen two Ogres and Jet Li (Ske). Toastboy tells Pavel Bropovich (Sno) to block him and the Skeleton is stunned as a result. Abdul Ahmed Bromad (Sno) then moves to pick up the ball, but fails both the first roll and the re-roll and despite the fact the ball is eventually caught by Michael Brorton, there's a turnover.

LO #16:
I push some Snotlings and decide to 1d block Albabross with Dolph Lundgren. Both Down. Turnover. End of the match.

End result and summary:
Legends Outworn 1:0 Alpha Brotocol

Summary:

The match was boring and mostly because of me, as I tried to played very carefully - it was my first time as a Khemri coach (ever). Still made a lot of mistakes, but my luck on armor/injury rolls (or rather, lack of luck on Toastboy's side) allowed me to hide them in a crowd of skeletons. I had been hoping on more casualties (and consequently more SPPs), only getting one in the whole match.

Toastboy played well (and got rewarded with 80k winnings - twice as much as I got after re-rolling 20k into 40k!), but his lack of experience with Ogres led to some mistakes (like the one with passing on turn #8). He also almost never re-rolled failed Bonehead rolls - ending with unused re-rolls at the end of each half. While this is generally good practice with an Ogre team, there are moments when the crucial Bonehead should be re-rolled. But, to be honest, after fifty or so matches with Ogres, I'm still not sure when such a moment appears. For choosing Ogres - respect. :salute: I hope You advance to the playoffs, Toastboy.

Can someone explain to me what happens in this game? It crashes my game at turn 3 or 4.

Also once you have completed your game shoot a message to OSK or myself to validate your match.
Same here. Replay crashes my game during turn #2 of Screaming Blades.

edit:
Watched the Vampire-Nurgle replay. Everybody should. Good stuff. I haven' seen so many '1s' rolled since the Bloody Thrallers roamed the pitch in season 2. I especially liked the 1+1 foul that got the last thrall ejected from the pitch by the referee. Not even mentioning armor rolls. Crazy.
Maybe there's some kind of curse software bug that strikes teams with "blood' in their names?
Or maybe vampires just suck.

Guys, I was wondering if the RNG in this game is bugged.

It's very common when using a re-roll to get the exact same results, it has happened several times with me and with the people I played against.

Let's say I do a 2 dice block, get double skulls, re-roll, and get the same result.

That's a (1/6)^4 chance. 0,077%. Even considering the amount of 2 dice blocks we get in a match, a 0,077% chance should be rare, and yet it seems to happen every other match.
