I've no idea how people can stomach through playing a Warrior or Paladin while solo leveling. I'm going around, nearly 1 shotting things with Ambush and homie on the right here is having life or death epic duels with Defias Pillagers hoping his next auto attack doesn't miss.

I don't think you ever played a warrior if you think "autoattack" is a thing with them. The real issue with leveling a warrior is gankers. Mobs you can handle. If you pull too many mobs you are basically done for, which is the real difference with most other classes and even tends to breed a "last stand" mentality when you know you can't run away so you end up trying to do as much damage as you can while dying standing on your feet, gnawing at your enemy's neck and cursing their name with your last breath, Robert E. Howard style. But that's easily avoidable by learning how to engage groups correctly.

No, the real issue is that without a healer helping you out the warrior is the punching bag of world pvp. The worst of course is frost mages and since they know you can't beat them no matter what you become a magnet for constant mage ganking. Need to whip out this old classic for reference:

Pally is not for solo. You help others and suddenly you are in a group. That's how it usually went when i leveled mine back in the day. You are not going to see it early on since the first levels people just like to play solo but it's more common as you go to tougher zones. This is especially true in pvp servers and retribution Paladins have mean burst damage so when you get one in a group with you while questing it's guaranteed to make gankers think twice about jumping you. You get a healer who can just one shot you with a lucky crit and while Paladins have a problem with mobility in 1vs1 fights in the chaos of a group fight they can easily close the gab which makes them scary, and with the bobble a group fight just translates with people running away from the paladin while they get picked off by the mage etc.

Warriors too eventually will end up forming groups. A warrior with a healer is a force to be reckoned with and it's not terribly uncommon to find priests who are leveling with an healing spec. You'd think everybody would just level shadow but often that's not the case. This was more common on ally, especially with Dwarf priests. Undead priests and shadow spec are just too good a match thematic wise to pass it up. Even so, warriors are just a great asset to have for world pvp for any squishy healer.

If you can get enough mana regen and know what you are doing, a holy/disc hybrid is faster to level up to 40, then shadow becomes faster. The difference between holy and the other specs in terms of healing is actually miniscule before you get some good gear going. The talent that increases healing on everything by 10% is actually only on the BASE amount, it doesn't take into account +heal, so I wouldn't say it's trivial, but when your heal heals for 300, +30 won't do much. It gets better the higher ranks of heals you get, but it gets worse the more +heal you get from gear. The other talent, Spiritual Guidance, increases healing and damage by 25% of your spirit, you won't get a good amount of spirit while leveling to really notice an increase in your heals.

You are correct, but i think it's more of a mindset that goes with the spec. My experience with shadow priests is that they are reluctant healers, even while questing in a group. Kinda of annoying, not sure why they didn't just make a mage.

apart from pvp servers and risks to be ganked why would I group up to level in wow outside of elitequests. I can do everything reasonable fast with the right specc as a dd and the only thign you bring to the table is siphoning ep.

There are two answers to that. The first one, and I think the far more important for most people, is how much you value social interaction. I don't think that requires any explanation. The second one is that there are certain benefits to leveling with one other person. Yes, if you strive to be the fastest leveler, the first batch of people to 60 and have the time to do it, solo leveling is faster in that context. But if you are like most people and level at a normal speed, duo leveling provides more security, you can pull more mobs, you can AoE farm like nobody's business as 2 mages or mage/warlock, you get to play with a friend, escort quests aren't as risky, you can form faster groups for dungeons (especially if you are a tank and healer), you can try out unusual specs, etc. etc.

Both methods are valid and it's essentially a choice. Yes, you'll have to kill twice the amount of mobs for the same experience, but you are also killing them faster, so yeah. And you are bound to each other's schedules.

Аccording to the post, it seems like it's only based on how many people are visiting each leveling guide and not actual numbers from the game.

Obvious by druid not being last. The most accurate numbers are going to be from private servers.

Warrior 46.181
Mage 29.491
Hunter 25.792
Rogue 25.028
Priest 19.380
Warlock 19.070
Shaman 12.970(~26.000)
Druid 12.064
Paladin 11.337 (~22.000)
Since Shaman/Paladin are only on one faction, you can kind of double them/halve the other classes since the other classes include both. Which would put Shaman at 3/4 and Paladin at 5/6. That feels accurate enough.

Mobilehunter on Gehennas-EU is going to outlevel you, GrainWetski
Yeah, I'm about to just to settle on another realm. 13k queue now that I'm finally off work. It just isn't meant to be.

If Shaman and Paladin were available to both factions, I don't think we'll see twice as many of them. Whoever wants to play Shaman or Paladin, they are doing it right now. It's more appropriate to assume the representation per faction would be halved, but total numbers would be the same.

Well of course. I like to actually play the game than sit there waiting for Heroic Strike to go off and praying for Overpower.

Heroic Strike should mostly be limited as a rage dump, because it replaces your auto attack so you have to factor in the cost of using it and the rage lost by missing a white attack. It's all you got until you get Bloodthirst or MS, but it still sucks. Early on rend is actually a solid opener (it's a free attack on your second pull when Battle Shout is still on and you don't have to refresh it yet), it only becomes bad later on because it fails to scale. You have to keep in mind that as a warrior you don't have many ways to control the field and you WILL end up engaging more than one mob which is where rend comes into play as you can tick more than one mob at once.

When you get to higher level, you WILL want to take on more than one mob. You charge, battle shout, take on another mob, rend that one if you can squeeze one in, turn to the one you were killing, sweeping strikes + cleave or whirlwind + MS depending on what you can use, execute the first mob that goes below 20% and if any other mob is at 20% they'll get executed also as Sweeping Strikes just doubles everything (that's why i like the SS + Cleave combo, despite being "less" efficient than whirlwind and MS, or so they say). If you end up pulling too many mobs, pop Retaliation while Sweeping Strikes are still on and just enjoy the carnage.

The meme of the warrior having no healing abilities and dying quickly makes people think the best play style is one mob at a time like a rouge. What people forget is that warriors are not rogues. They have a lot more stamina and armor and can take on more than one mob so you should maximize that fact, and since you can't heal you have to maximize killing mobs as fast as you can instead. It's of course always risky but that's the beauty of it. It's edgy and it makes you feel like you are actually Conan the Barbarian. That is, until some faggot decides to gank you but that's where playing with a healer comes into play. Than you are just a walking shredding machine.

Try enhancement shammy.

Jesus Christ. It's better if you have a decent, no, any green weapon close to your level. Hardly any usable gear rewards so far.

But I am level 16 and it gets better. And I am loving it.

I think it has more to do with using the mail system as a bank by sending yourself loot all the time.
