The Fallout games could have saved so much time and money on the talking heads.
Really now?
They offered a certain uniqueness and have proven to be a distinct quality of the Interplay Fallout games.
Besides, they were reserved only for important and unique characters.

Besides, they were reserved only for important and unique characters.
I think he was joking about how they could have saved money by just using that real life ogre's head instead of sculpting super mutants from clay.

You're both right.

A bit of make-up, filters and a few other techniques you could have had some decent looking talking heads using actors.

If I was an indie developer I might look into seeing if it was cheaper to make real actors look like CGI ones.

Both nvidia and amd are consciously gimping their hardware and introducing apple-like restrictions to software tied to hardware so this never happens again
