5E is pretty much a given.
What if 6e is announced?
5E is pretty much a given.
Beamdog should not be in the same sentence as monocled.
You know "Beamdog" is complete garbage when I'd rather go through the trouble of installing BG 1 and 2 with Tutu than have my day ruined with their disgusting "Enhanced edition" the amount of cancer these people added to the game is astounding and SoD was just a non-stop bombardment of trash I couldn't even play through it for a laugh and I'm a person who beat ME:A.
Lung cancer is better than Leukemia.SoD is better than ME:A.
SoD is better than ME:A.

So, you were conceived as a direct result of your mother having a matress strapped to her back. Keep it to yourself next time, pls.
It was still better then everything bioware did after DAOYou know "Beamdog" is complete garbage when I'd rather go through the trouble of installing BG 1 and 2 with Tutu than have my day ruined with their disgusting "Enhanced edition" the amount of cancer these people added to the game is astounding and SoD was just a non-stop bombardment of trash I couldn't even play through it for a laugh and I'm a person who beat ME:A.

Wait... did you like the "Enhanced edition" content or SoD? If so that is hilarious.

I'm gonna have to disagree with that one. ME2 although bad is still one thousand times better than the "content" Beamdog added to BG and SoD...
Its a good module for a cool engine and ruleset we won't see ever again, yes.Wait... did you like the "Enhanced edition" content or SoD? If so that is hilarious.
While might only look at added content I look at whole EE as a package. All the improvements EE added (not only new NPCs and quests) and the game that resulted out of it is easily better than anything Bioware did after DAO. While some of those game could have been positively compared to unmodded BG1, BG1EE is miles better game.It was still better then everything bioware did after DAOYou know "Beamdog" is complete garbage when I'd rather go through the trouble of installing BG 1 and 2 with Tutu than have my day ruined with their disgusting "Enhanced edition" the amount of cancer these people added to the game is astounding and SoD was just a non-stop bombardment of trash I couldn't even play through it for a laugh and I'm a person who beat ME:A.

Seeing the things they made the characters I remember from old games say and do was more disturbing and poorly written than the Imoen rape mod or a self insert mary sue party member mod.

Bg1 vanilla is not that great. Lacks BG2 stuff. It is still a good game but not as good as it is now. While might only look at added content I look at whole EE as a package. So some modern BioWare games were comparable to BG until Beamdog came along and twiddled with it. lol @ this scrub.
I find BG1EE more fun than BG2 or BG2EE but Bg1 was technically way too weaker than BG2 engine to be overall superior even if it had more fun exploration and even if I find low level D&D more fun to play. Bg1 just lacks BG1EE extra classes and tools to play around with. Tools 90% implemented with BG2.Infinity Engine was coded as the BG campaign was being formed; it laid the groundwork. BG is more of a feat than BG2, which recycled many of the assets and merely built upon others to bloat things out.
It's arguable BG is the superior campaign. No need to repeat what I and others have said in previous posts. It depends what sort of campaign you value. Also BG2 lacks BG stuff, though I doubt you can cite any examples.
It's not so cut and dry, except to you and other hamheads.
Even if SoD was not the level of BG1 or BG2, they did show a certain level of competency in crafting encounters, quest design and enemy AI. And that part can only improve. They got rid of their worse writers and learned their lessons about their player base.I don't have high hopes for the rpg they are making, but I think we can feel safe it will be an actual rpg which is nice. If it is 5e it will be nicer. If they somehow manage to make decent, engaging combat that manages to stay challenging throughout I will be very surprised. I'm guessing it will be like all the IE gams besides IWD2 - decent content but very shitty and boring combat with no challenge at all in the default design. Definitely recruitable party members as talking heads and porno toys for the same market of dumb kids who like shit combat.
It will be worth buying, for 5e alone if they use it just for the chargen and dev. We could also hope modders fix the shit combat and make it something worth playing.
And at the end of the day we all have a new rpg to play. I'll take a new rpg over no rpg any day. And who knows, they could prove me wrong. I know inXile has.

I think whatever they are cooking up next can only be better than SoD and can turn out to be a cool and playable game.
