Took me about 5 minutes to FIND A FEMALE CHARACTER, and even that is dubious, at first I chose a female and couldn't figure out why am I still a male until I finally found you have to choose body type as A (but not B, C, D) as well. What the fuck? EA had normal genders

I had to start over because APPARENTLY YOU ALSO HAVE TO SEPARATELY CHOOSE FEMALE VOICE. My sexy Drow mistress had a fucking deep male voice and you can only change it in character creation.

Man, I'm at work, so I can't check, but I might be actually using that voice? Is that the last one, or was it 8? I'm using the last female one. The others didn't really seem to fit a bad bitch Drow.

I liked NWN2 voices for PCs the most out of all games, I think.

I'm impressed by how well this is running on my low end gaming laptop, my fans sounded like a hoover a couple of hours into WotR but it's all going well in this so far. Also they've really sped up the loading since EA, which my savescumming ass greatly appreciates

In 5th edition Pact of the Blade warlocks can take an invocation to get an additional attack at level 5. I'm trying to work out how to build a melee cha focused warlock, but without that additional attack I'll just go straight caster.

First few points I have after 6 hours of playing the game:
- Game runs really well on my PC, despite the fact I still use HDD. Some textures take a while to load but otherwise, good experience so far.
- Game feels like Divinity 2 with different ruleset, slightly better graphics and Forgotten Realms lore. It's not particulary bad, as I seem to have fun with it most of the time.
- Companions suck. At least first few of them are fucking terrible. Getting rid of them is not that easy, especially if the only logical outcome(Dark Urge) should be potential companion death and my options end up on on being mean.
- Withers NPC (Respecs and stuff) is ridiculously out of place. Who the fuck thought that's a good idea? Terribly explained - this thing just goes to your camp and is here to stay - no questions asked. He feels like cheap version of Imp/Goblin thing from Divinity Original Sin. I can imagine their thought behind Withers character: "GUYS, SKELLINGTONS ARE COOL. LETS ADD ONE MYSTERIOUS SKELLINGTON TO THE PLAYERS CAMP! SUPER COOL. HIGH FANTASY, RIGHT?"
- A lot of references to Divinity: OS games (Fane portrait etc.) while rather subtle references to older Baldurs Gate games(except obvious and big stuff like Minsc, Jaheira etc.) - I saw some stuff about the Bhaalspawn in one of the books.

Dude doesn't deserve compassion, he lashed at a lot of friends he made on 'dex, shared their personal information that they entrusted him with etc. He acts to get compassion, befriend people and once he gathers some info starts insulting then threatening with sharing info. This dude is genuine psycho who is miserable, but also wants everybody else to be miserable.

Didn't happen to me, but multiple people already had been backstabbed by him like that.

Just laugh at him.

Really dont recommend people playing Dark Urge as a first one. You will end up loosing a lot of content and interactions because the motherfucker will kill npc's without any chance to avoid it by the player character.

Going to reroll as a custom character, and play dark urge in a second playthrough.

The Shield spell btw works correctly, It only has weird wording. So far I've played 5~ hours and the first few were quite a bore for me as I played the EA quite a lot, but it's already getting addictive. The character creation is quite "aggressive" in terms of gender fluidity and it had me quite confused even though I have no qualms with it. I'm surprsised there's so little screeching about it in this forum.

So far camp supplies don't seem abundant and in Tactician Mode at least long rest costs 80 units of provisions, which looks completely unsustainable for spam-resters. Based, if this keeps up.

Writing-wise I've found the most cringe in the MC dialogue options, rather than in the NPCs. Moreover, being reasonably diffident towards these strangers you have accompanying you Is flooding me with "disapproves". I actually hope companion interactions will have the nuance and complexity they promised and that trust can be built slowly, instead of having to pander to them brainlessly to better unfold their background and personalities.

Combat so far looks fun, but I've experienced too little of it. The first two-three fights are just tutorial stuff and you shouldn't consider it a testing ground.
