once we let go all our hopes and dreams for an Obsidian RPG, as a pure action RPG with simplified mechanics, this systems in the game work great

I can't bring myself to finish this slog. Ironically, because the only good part in my opinion—the exploration—is too dense instead of wide. You want to push the missions and the story forward, but the game keeps dragging you to look at every corner and bush with thousands of chests, corpses, boxes, and bags full of useless materials for upgrading.

I think that if I wanted to waste more time on this, I would prefer to waste it watching a full walkthrough.

Nah, you exagerate. Art is gorgeous, very colorful, exactly what Living Lands was supposed to be (I dont like the bioluminescence in everything tho). Maybe you have a false memory of previous Obsidian and PoE games, but they were also super colorful, specially deadfire (which is the most beautiful isometric rpg, like ever).

Writing is good enough for an AA game and the lore is all there. There is nothing retarded on it.

Combat is very good, but the game is shallow. I feel the lack of NPC reactivity, specially, and some mechanics, like stealing and consequences, and it affects the game negatively, indeed. But it's light years away from being this disgrace people are trying to paint on the game.

And, ah, yes: the price is definitely an error, from Microsoft. This game should be cheaper. But I don't think this should be targeted on Obsidian or Carrie Patel.
