Almost a million views on this... hold the line Avowedheads. There's no way they would lie about Microsoft being happy with the sales of this game right?

No, it is weird, because Diablo 3 was also a humongous seller that Obsidian Entertainment would be more than happy to get a slice of the sells pie of.
Making an isometric action game would also allow them to keep the exact same aesthetic as the games it’s related, they likely would’ve got the game out years earlier, and they most definitely could’ve done it for less than they spent on this shit. So yeah, from a business perspective, it’s pretty fucking weird. In a world where isometric action game Diablo 3 can sell over 30 million in around three years, an isometric action game is just as valid of a money making venture as chasing Skyrim; and you can chase one of those things for far less money.
No, you can get a rough idea by looking at the 'xbox most played charts' but there is no way to know the exact numbers until MS/Obsidian make an official statement. Fwiw it was at the 16th place yesterday on most played games on xbox, which is not THAT bad but also not a smashing success.
#9 now and all the stuff beating it is multiplayer. Even on your list it's the #1 single player game. Most single player games just aren't going to be able to compete with multiplayer.
It's currently beating KCD2, Elden Ring, Skyrim, Fallout 4, BG3.

Gentle reminder to everyone in this thread that a game that has this in it is releasing in 4-3 days, and you can choose to play it instead:
Strange as it may seem in these times, games made by people that don't hate humanity are indeed still being made in the Big 25, and YOU can play them. I swear to you, if I were a man of means, I would buy gift copies for anyone that asked. That's how much I believe in this product.
oh my gosh I am fresh off of completing The Emerald Stair, 72 hours in to this wonderful adventure, and wow. WOW! The intricate layers of this story is stacked like the old arcade game Burger Time with your bottom bun, your lettuce, your pickles, your tomatoes, cheese, sauces and the top of the bun. GOSH!
You have the Dreamscourge. You have the Steel Garrote. You have the Animancers. You have the Rebels. You're a Godlike TOUCHED by a GOD. You're the Envoy of the Aedyran Empire. So many different point of views squeezing you in The Living Lands all at once, or from a distance, depending on how you play.
Miriamele is headed to Shatterscarp after adventuring all day finishing plots and hunting down crumbs of who and what she is as a Godlike.
Entering Paradis got me sucked right up in the story but The Emerald Stair is so wonderfully put together it tops what happens to you in Dawnshore. Detail after detail, book after book, note after note, The Emerald Stair truly has you climbing one step at a time toward the most wonderful reveal and backstory of your character. Exploration plays a large part of how the events unfold in the region, and each layer you learn more about what it is that drives you toward a conclusion based on your choices.
Below are some screens from Miriamele's adventure today, a wild ride indeed.
Nearly forgot to give some of you who are just making opinions without playing the game some more wood for the fire pit you stand around telling one another who is bigger than the other.
You can complete some quests in advance of being accepted, which is neat
Had a boss guy do a stomp attack which exploded a barrel near him and knocked him and other enemies down for a chunk of damage, Dark Messiah much?
Roaming around the place there are definitely enemies and encounters that are tough (you get 1 or 2 shot) but doable, reminds me of Gothic 2
You can make friends with the "irredeemable bad guy who totally le hecking killed folks" golden godlike shown in the early previews, which was surprising that a bunch of Cali Cucks allowed that

He gave up on this after both his employees within the studio and the Project Eternity Kickstarter backers rebelled against boobplate. No sense in fighting against the tide.
Feargus is also a lib and wants to be compliant. He changed his preference to follow the crowd. Avowed's look is 100% what Carrie wanted to begin with.
Like in Battle Brothers? I remember that Sawyer has a boner for BB, but already throwing a fucking excuse right off the bat don't inspire me much confidence.
After Deadfire their collective dicks shrunk so hard it became vaginas, jesus christ. If you want to make this game say you will figure this shit out.
