This dude plays it on a xbox and starts his review with the graphics (lol). He's as normie as it gets. He probably never even contemplated what a RPG is in his head. And even he completly shits on the game. At this point you have to a special kind of disability to like this game.

Can you sum up what are the major negative points?
I aint watching that.

Bad graphics and graphic bugs. Bad perfomance. Ridden with bugs. No minimap and taking several button presses to open up the map. Combat mediocre. And this is extra juicy, that a normie notices this: ZERO C&C. Zero impact of the dialogue on anything. Dialogue answers differ just in flavour and are no real gameplay whatsoever. Unkillable unlikable NPC's. Unlikable unkillable companions. Story worse than Veilguards. From the top of my head. I just had it running in the backround.

They made their lead writer the head of the game developement and still the games weakest parts are the story and the writing. Truly some competent talent over at Obsidian

This a website for rpg enthusiasts. Even the most normie reviewers see that the game is total trash in every department. If you think this game is anywhere near your score you need to get your head checked.

They do ? hmmm maybe the game is actually good ?
Buy it, I dare you. I played it and I fail to see why I should be the only one to suffer

I need a sanity check. I think the graphics in this game is fucking abysmal, but all the reviewers are praising it. I mean it's colorful but it's not exactly highly detailed. It's all kinda muddy and lowpoly (max settings). Is it just me?

No. Graphic whores loath the thing for varius problems. Especially shadows and weird muddy graphic anomalies when you move.

Infinitron do your fucking job and tell us how great the game is
Oooooooohhh JEEEEEWWWWWYYYY! Where is ma Jewy? Where at? C'mon go do your thang. You know, D JEW THANG! Go say how this is on GamePass, and how RPGs have long legs in sales and how Pillars is more suited for isometric perspective, and that's why PoE 3 will be smash hit. Say how DLCs will save it. Mention Joshua Sawyer. C'mon! Make us laugh! Amuse us, that is your job, Jewy. Split a thread or two, create 5 new sub-forums, BAN everyone who hasn't bought Avowed for a month. Post every review of Avowed as separate new News Article on main page.

C'mon. Be Jew, Jewy

You should get your head checked, as well as your reading comprehension, because I wasn't talking about Avowed.

>destroying the building and preventing the blight's spread is the evil option
>you get lectured about it by your gurl party members

So they even managed to suck the fun out of playing an evil character by making the evil choices into something a simp cuck would pick. Bravo, Obshitstain.

MS will just close a studio if they underperform, like what they did to Arkane Austin. Too early to say how things will go now, but Steam concurrent users just won't be any indication of success or failure here.
Microsoft will just close a studio regardless of how well their project performs. Last year they shut down Tango Gameworks despite HiFi rush selling outstandingly well apparently while ALSO being on gamepass too (admited by the games marketing lead at microsoft https://x.com/aarongreenberg/status/1649431572137779203) and being a hit with audiences despite being a completely new IP. Their reasoning? "We want to focus on high-impact titles". Even if Avowed somehow ends up being popular, do you really think it's gonna be anywhere near that description?
Using Microsoft as an indicative of a game's success when they pull this kind of thing seems pretty silly.
Yeah, everything about that was very peculiar. But there is an objective criteria for success here and that's if Microsoft itself considers it a success. If one were to go around insisting Avowed was a financial failure after MS greenlights a sequel and gives Obsidian a bigger budget, that would be a very "I reject your reality and substitute my own" attitude to have.

Okay now that's GENUINELY really sad.

The fact a game like Indiana Jones can bomb is beyond crazy.
Jones was a Xoomer hero and a lot of those guys have aged out of gaming. The last movie bombed even though the also-terrible Crystal Skull didn't. His time is largely over, it's impressive it was able to do as well as it did on gamepass.

Veilguard wasn't the first BioWare game to "bomb".
True. Andromeda bombed and it resulted in the closure of Bioware Montreal.

And with the "One sentence only" reply options you don't even get funny tirades like
View attachment 61636
How cute, you expect a modern writer to write that much and a modern gamer to read it.
Palsies, Bioware back around 1999 came to the conclusion that one-sentence-only replies was the way to go.

Each of the dialogue nodes (dialogue piece) spoken by an NPC should be limited to two lines. Only in VERY RARE circumstances are more than two used.

All character responses should be one line when they appear in the game. There should be no reason for them to be longer than this.
You're nostalgic for a fluke.
