What's the proper way to deal with the three men who think each other is infected with a parasite worm?

I wrote down all their stories and compared them, none of them match up.

Realize they're all superstitious and crazy and make a great team. Seriously, that's what I did. Either that or they're all infected, but I got 109 XP for deciding they were all just being superstitious and paranoid, thus uniting them again as a team.
I think it's Markelov.
CJ2xbDT.jpg

Nothing really hints at it before deciding though so...

You'll get similar reaction aby telling any of them that they're all infected. Tho the guard's reaction is closest to being "normal", so I'd say either they're all infected, or only Markelov and guide are.

In the first town, go talk to the young guard at one of the gates and ask him about rumors, he'll tell you something interesting about the granny that those dudes visited previously. That kind me it clear to me that they are infected.

The problem is that if all three are infected, why don't they just attack you as you go to leave?

Also adds more credibility to Ivan being the one because he got the gas station incorrect. It's the only consistent inconsistency.

If someone is still building a character, a slight hint without spoiling much:

If you're thinking about raising your strength to the level required for some endgame weapons, take into account that a minor boss encounter around mid-late game will yield a turbo strong helmet with +1 str, so you may want to plan the exact value of str with that in mind.

Is Peter infected? Otherwise her pet would be an ant and then the guy who says her pet is an ant would be non-infected.
If I remember correctly then the guard is the only one of them not infected?

In Poland we have a saying: cure yourself with the same thing thatvgot you ill.

Hence, drink more.

That's just an excuse for your rampant alcoholism...

And it is a retarded saying by the way, it is impossible to cure yourself with more of the stuff that got you ill... I suppose geniuses in Poland attempt to cure AIDS with more AIDS. Yup, IQ is off the scale there! Downwards...

A better Fallout Obshitian of current year would do Comrade. Western publishers are risk adverse cause the share holders and SJW pressure and wold never dare to make game their player base want. Write something like ''Fallout inspired game from gamers for gamers 100% RP 0% Bullshit''

Slavic people should be banned from commenting on slav games on the Codex because there is a clear conflict of interest here. They are pushing it on nationalistic grounds and not based on quality. Anyone who has actually played this game knows it is mediocre and not even worth mentioning in the same vain as games like Fallout 4 or PoE II Deadfire. Seriously. Be honest for once in your lives...

I know you're trying to bait, but I agree about the nationalistic pride. The combat is especially nothing to write home about - a very bare bone, boring and basic system with no diversity of actions, but the game world (apart from the dungeons) and dialogs are quite fun. I played a diplo char with minimum combat and the game is deff fun.

You are really trying to hard to sound and act like a retard. This leads me to a conclusion you are not actually one, but simply an attention whoring, goat fucking troll.

While the combat is basic and clearly greatly inspired by Fallout, I wouldn't call it boring and have had fun with it so far. This is because it's actually heavily reliant on the actual RPG systems behind it and being well-equiped is essential. When the fun exploration and character progression is reflected in combat performance - and that combat ends up challenging in the process - this is enough for it to be enjoyable for me. It could definitely use some spicing up, but it's far from boring for me because it's combat securely grounded in it's RPG systems and character progression.

I am not "baiting". There have been plenty of slavic people that -SURPRISE- praise this game like it is the greatest of all time or something. You people need to become more suspicious of random posters on the internet, astroturfing is more than half the internet traffic these days, the other half being porn.

I think I am going with this build.
Vq3nvrt.jpg

Reasoning:
I am choosing Luck as dump stat and going for sniper build.

Diplomat - is basically 2 free stats because you will at most be using one or two combat skills so -10 to all combat doesn't matter much. +20 Speech is useful. Sequence loss if offset by high attention.
Unlucky Optimist - since I am dumping Luck and not going for crit, any further loss in luck makes no difference and you essentially just get free stats.

7 Str because you get +1 Str helmet and max needed Str for sniper rifles is 8.
6 Dex because you only get 1 Ap per two stats. So it is best to either go 4 or 6.

I don't know how spoilery this is, but SVD grants +15% crit chance, plus there's a perk that gives 1.5x crit chance with scoped rifles and another one with +100% crit damage with precision shots against humans.

To be honest, personality doesn't seem to gate too much content (I think I've seen 3 or 4 people who refuse to talk to you with 1 per). Attention above 6 is useless as well (after a few levels, the hit chance is going to be 99% anyway). There may be some high att checks, though.

As for 8 str, I'm not sure you even need the antitank rifle if you can crit unarmored humans for 200+ damage with SVD.

Isn't Pistol and Submachineguns viable until the end game? :(

Against unarmored humans, sure. Desert eagle deals around 25-30 damage per shot, so it's 2 shots per turn with 10 dex and the pistol perk. But that's nothing compared to called SVD shots or machine gun bursts. That's okay, though, you can make the two companions into snipers or gunners if you wish, that's quite enough to deal with most enemies.

If you ask me, the devs really need to lower the AP costs for single shots for both pistols and submachine guns. As it stands now, only the revolver can be shot 5 times a turn with 10 dex. You really should be able to make 3 regular or least 2 called shots with desert eagle provided you have 10 dex.

I'm almost level 12, and getting my character with 110 in pistols ready to wield RPK or something, heh.

So, how many of you are playing this on Expert? I am at level 5 and I just entered my first random encounter and successfully finished it. Before this it was either run or try to talk a way out of it. Me and Fidel against 6 cultists with barbed clubs and bats. Fidel had a knife, and I had a nice handgun, forgot the name, it has 8-13 damage I think. It felt so satisfying to finally not run away and get 200+ exp points for surviving the encounter. That's like 2, 3 quest worth of experience points.

I dont know if its a good or a bad thing to get less experience points for playing harder difficulty. What do you think?

One more question:
So we dont not get to chose additional perks throughout the game, only 2 perks when creating the character? I thought we would get additional perks at every 5 levels.

I'm playing on expert, and the game becomes quite easy once you get Prokhanov as the second companion. All things considered, it's probably better not to get the dog if you value your sanity (and have a companion with a burst fire weapon).

What you pick at the start are traits. Perks are available on the second tab in the char sheet.
I'll leave it to you to figure the rest out.
