Lapsuus is quite impressive , its on "high end" amiga altough
Chipset:Aga Minimum Required:68060 16Mb Fast Mem and published in 2001 , i cant find what they are using as sound chipset.

I still have 2 full boxes of all my Amiga 500 and 4000 floppy disks. What I was wondering was, If I got say an external USB floppy drive for my PC... how could I rip all the info from those disks and possibly finally burn all of it to a few DVD's?

Well, you can make floppy images just like you can make cd/dvd images and then mount them in an emulator later on. But the problem is that you can't read the floppies with a regular PC floppy drive. The most common solutions seem to be "hook up your Amiga to the PC" and "download the images and pretend you ripped them yourself".

This is the easiest way to do it. I tend to do it backwards. I download Amiga disk images, burn them on to floppies (using directly connected A500), and play them on the Amiga.

Luzur, have you ever used a Hard drive for the A500? If so, how did you find it? I am thinking of tracking one down.

i had a A590 many years ago, got it burning due to soda spill.

i think my brother got it for me, but that was back in the days when stuff like that could be found in stores.

i would say Ebay or Amibay.

Have you thought of using an Amiga floppy emulator such as: #1 #2 #3? Does anyone in this thread have any experience with those? They seem to be a really neat solution for people who want to use the original Amiga hardware combined with practically unlimited storage.

ah , now you have to lovely rub them with peroxyde hydrogen gel, makes wonder, on plastics. They will look like brand new, and probably work as good so many years later.
Oh i forgot, use protection with peroxyde hyrogen, espcially the eyes, concentrated one burn heavily.

Besides PCs, we have here shitton of handmade Spectrum variants, several soviet clones of PDP-11 and soviet IBM PC XT. Too bad most of this was recycled back in the 90's for gold and palladium. With our big computers and part of the all sort of good devices from 80's.
I have 8" discs and 9 track tape but don't have means to read them.
