Their problem is that they treat the endgame as mutually exclusive progression paths, instead of a collection of activities that all players do.

Even a design where the only way to get a helm upgrade is to raid, trinkets come from dungeons, and all of the shoulder items come from PvP would be healthier than what they do now. The way players engage with content can be adjusted. (Random vs. rated battlegrounds, raid size, etc)

Just how dumb/disconnected from reality are you?

It's a horseshoe theory situation.

And so we finally learn the Jailer's plan, the schemes upon schemes, the wheels turning wheels that have been going on for as long as time itself and involved everyone from the Burning Legion and the Titans, the Light and the Void, and even the Lifelands. And the endgame of Zovaal's master plan is...

...to be friends and fight a bigger evil together.

Note that this is the climax of a story that has been building for twenty years (at least it has been building to that ever since Shadowlands entered development). Well good show, Jailer. Domo arigato, mister roboto.

"They're gonna show us another villain but he has been behind everything since the lost vikings"

Might as well have the trio come back from that one quest in the Badlands.

Would be nice if we had a rest expansion, just internal politics and reconstruction related drama on Azeroth, good excuse for another revamp or WoW 2.

Some recent expansion leaks hinted at Blizzard bringing out the dragons, again. Who knows if it's for some calm adventuring and cooling down a bit or more end of the world theme park nonsense.

Hard to explain why, it's a comfortable place to me so to speak.
Definitely know the feeling. I used to play a MMO between 2009 and 2014, but every once in a while i like to take a peek on what's been happening to it. Basically it's a pay to win monstrosity with insane power creep and a shell of its former self, but the memories of the good times i had with it still make me check it out every once in a while.

Over there.
Problem is who would accept a hard reset?
is there anybody left
Me :negative:

Well not always but I do go back every once in a while. Hard to explain why, it's a comfortable place to me so to speak.

I get it. Up until Pandaria or so, I'd re-up for a month out of boredom and just trollop around Elwynn Forest mindlessly killing mobs and soaking in the atmosphere, thinking back to the days when the game used to be fun.

Pandaria was the tipping point for me as well. Before they did everything to make the sytem more involved and complex. From Pandaria on they dumbed down everything to nauseating levels. Never mind that the story got more and more butchered.

I'm tanking through chromie time dungeons on a leveling character and holy damn cataclysm dungeons are hard af; tons of mechanics that just murder you and every run half the group flips out and leaves lmao.

fun tho, dungeons from other xpacs are mostly just a cakewalk

Mh TBC was pretty hard as was Classic imo in terms of dungeon difficulty. And we did not have easy dungeon finder back then, you actually had to socialize with players on your server.

Actually this is due to a Blizz fuckup, not by design

Many numbers in Cata duns are way overtuned ever since the game went under a number squish, which happened during BfA if I'm not mistaken. Many of those stupid high damages were in fact not supposed to work like that originally. They didn't tune these duns properly for the game's current numbers.

And they still didn't fix it, hue hue hue
