That is interesting. I only tried him once with my lower level team and since I went first and attacked he just kept attacking that some person and often one shooting them. So the trick is just let him for his move and attack first and then avoid his attacks.You don't need any poison, in fact DOTs are not great against bosses since they get reduced damage and only get affected once per turn.sure u could beat him easily at level 1 or later overpower him but if you are in the cuck stage oops i sold my level 1 dagger that can put a poison stack on him only have bleed better go back to town or fuk off elsewhere for now. its tedious and gamey all I'm saying. Battle bros your not fucked cuz u traded ur pick axe for a two handed hammer.
This specific boss can be beaten with anything, after you just look at what his skills do - he either uses an ability that targets closest person, or he uses an ability which starts channeling his attack on the previously targeted person, which will hit when he next acts.
The whole gimmick, is just that you need to plan your positioning, have you guys set up in a line, spread enough so boss can never target more than one person with his AoE, and only move the person at whom the boss is channeling his attack. Hit the boss, then run, to get out of his aoe and start setting up a new line. It can be done with whatever weapon, as long as you use your brain with positioning/order of movement, you can never take any damage in this boss fight.
Do you guys play with autoleveling on or no? I turned it off and it seems kinda boring so far, everything is too easy apart from a rare boss fight. But then most of my dudes are level 3 and the enemies are too so it should be balanced? (I picked max difficulty ofc).
Also seems like both combat and economy are too predictable.
I didn't even finish the starting region and already thinking of dropping the game.

I was also curious about what was up with some of those green toast messages you some times get saying you have unlocked a title (which can't be seen anywhere) and it turned out to be a leftover from the previous iteration of the path system that for some reason didn't get taken out when they switched to the current Path system.Btw noticed there is a bunch of path skills with "coming soon" description. Seems like the game is not quite finished yet?

The game does have a bit of an unfinished feel to it at times. The general framework is there but it could definitely have used some more time before its 1.0 launch.
I wonder if the launch date had been decided ahead of time and they were forced to release it prematurely? I remember they originally were going for a 2022 release but that obviously ended up not being the case.

Depends on how much you want to play it. If you do not mind waiting more and you got other games to play you can skip it for now.so... takeway is that now is not the right time to play it?
Brutes are dogshit, the actual broken comp is to field nothing but axe dudes. Once you get the +100% (150% with mastery) damage on the first attack skill, you end every fight on the first turn. I actually had to stop playing more than one axemen because they made the game too trivial.Really no point in fielding anything but Brutes. The 50% damage bonus from maces vs armor is OP, nothing else comes close. Sword and axe guys take 3x as many turns to kill anything. If you make a balanced team you're gimping yourself for no benefit. Maybe toss in an archer and ranger or two for dex-bonus jobs but that's it.
For me, throwing those poison bombs seems the way to go. Everything dies in a few turns with poison, does not matter what kind of armor the enemy has.Really no point in fielding anything but Brutes.
