Why people keep forgetting the "clown crew" is taken from an adventure path...?

The NPCs are from the adventure path, but most of the companions are Owlcat originals (with a notable exception of Seelah the Iconic and Aru).

Seelah, Aru, Lann, Wenduag, Sosiel, Trever are all from the adventure path 1st book or Paizo.

Owlcat's should be Regil, Woljiff (as it was a stretch goal I think in the fundraiser?), maybe Ember, and Nenio.

Rest need to check all the books of the AP; Daeran is probably there as he is part of the queen family.

So the best companion is the Owlcat's original.

The "best" companion amongst a sea of retards isn't a great achievement. Congratulations, you managed to make a single grounded character in a fucking crusade setting and it's a purple-haired gnome. Lmao, the lengths people go to defend this clown shit because of muh buildfaggotry.

The build stuff is Paizo’s. Owlcat’s home brews are pretty hit-or-miss.

Game announcement tomorrow

Holy fuck this might be a Warhammer game since tomorrow is the Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2022 where they show upcoming Warhammer games. Or this is just a coincidence.

Is not ""defending"" is saying that despite all of its flaws, the game still a good power fantasy. If you aren't into power fantasies of being a lv 40 godlike being destroying the rulers of the lower planes, there aren't much to enjoy in wotr.

It'd be one hell of a coincidence.

Oh, and here are the sketchy Russian rumors.

Nah, every time a discussion pops up about the Nile-size amount of soy shit just flowing through every facet of this game guys like you are quick to run in with a b-b-but muh based Regill. When your most serious character is depicted as a purple-haired gnome you know you got problems with your party lineup. Everyone that was here during the EA thread witnessed an unfathomable amount of shilling and therefore expected to gather a somewhat grounded and serious crew of actual crusaders. Not gnome and the clown gang with furry tails and homosexual black clerics.

The amount of insane cope that is going on because the game offers deep character customization options is truly fascinating, and that is by the way the only thing this game is actually good at. The combat itself is probably one of the most overrated aspects of a RPG on these forums. There is practically no semblance of tactical gameplay with such braindead AI, all your battles are decided by choices made before you even enter combat and revolves primarily around buff stacking. Occasionally you might be forced to make decisions mid-combat but it's nowhere close the tactical depth that can be afforded in other games. The most recent that comes to mind is King Arthur.

For fuck sake who do you even think you're arguing against at this point?

People were counting on them developing the game at least as much as they did P:K and Wrath started out better than P:K with things like Pre-buffed enemies and what not.

They just didn't do it (because the talent were on to a new game) and stupidly fired the guy who could have kept the writing interesting. The woke stuff is there because the evil fucks in the West who control game funding are into that shit to cover up their wrongdoing and OC is run by cynical Russians who are used to that level of corruption and the fanfic chicks they've hired fall for it.

You can click through the crap and put together a decent team of Lann, Reg, Wolj, Greybor, and Daeran if you want to avoid it. Which doesn't excuse the lack of a better story, AI, or basic development (it shouldn't need to be said that non-functional classes this long after release is just what are you even doing level suck).

The combat is an improvement over P:K because of... pre-buffed enemies? This is just stat padding by a different name. Prime example of the devs not understanding good encounter design and the best part is that guys like you gobble it up because you can autistically craft your builds. Speaking of builds by the way, are they really that great when over half of the sub-classes is just switching up the order of a few passives (hello Slayer vs. Deliverer). Yes, yes, there are also good examples like Brown-Fur Transmuter but let's not pretend that all of the 5000 different classes and sub-classes change the gameplay in any substantial way.

This game is truly defined by the degree of Zimbabwe inflation in every aspect: enemies, currency, stats, items even the amount of copy-paste classes lmao. Less is more is an expression Owlcucks have never understood.

And we are back to the coping. Just look away bro.

I'm not gobbling it up fuckface.

I can only assume you're stuck in 2019 because you're so infrequently right you just want to savor the rare occasion.

Yeah, we requested the latter to alleviate the former, and also it's pretty immersion breaking.

This is what happens to you brain when it gets taken over by nuclear butthurt.

Seeing as the transformers in Wrathfinder were Paizo's creation I don't think we need to worry. Besides, daemonettes have always been a thing, along with asexual, genderless Orks.

Let me get this straight, which I understand may be difficult for Owlcucks given the amount of faggotry the game contains, the solution to overreliance with pre-buffing to beat encounters is to also pre-buff the enemies? Jesus christ that is the most retarded shit I have ever heard. All you have achieved is moved the needle to how much more stat padding is needed to beat the encounter. Which summarizes Wrathfinder combat. You solve this by designing encounters better, but you know that actually requires talent. For starters, better AI, then options for them to counter-play your builds and then perhaps some basic shit like making sure positioning and terrain matter? Perhaps not spam 5000 units of mythical-improved-mkII Babus to faceroll against your carefully crafted build that stacks AB from 15 different sources of buffs? You do understand that the combat is basically reduced into a mathematical puzzle of who has the better numbers?

This is part and parcel of third edition D&D, no way to fight it. Look at Knights of the Chalice 2. You want something else, play a different system.

In tabletop, absolutely. In the context of crpgs, it's slightly different in that there's far less emphasis on builds.
