Thats only if you enable ray tracing. Thats not for the plebs. Plebs can play it at 720p on lowest settings and they'll like it!

At the lowest possible settings, this was running like ass on my setup. (Intel Core i5 @ 2.80GHz, 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti) But then I turned on "FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0" and now it's fine? Not good, mind you, but actually non-choppy for the most part? Good thing, too, because I was about to refund.

Like the game so far. Though servers still sucks.

You can play without, though it will be harder for you on higher difficulties.

You'll be fine even at higher difficulties just use middle mouse for special enemy call-outs.

Not Vermintide at least, the game did pretty good of job giving you cues and having your characters to call out everything that needed calling out, you could also ping enemies (enables overlay) for your teammates for targeting. I never heard anyone using voip in vermintide.

I cannot recommend the game at its current state, and I am not talking about FPS (I don't really care about FPS, I am playing the game at 50-45 FPS with high settings with no problems). The main problem is good luck trying to enjoy the game with kids who keep skipping like bunnies during all matchups. There are no private servers, so you cannot choose friends to play with, or play alone if you want to train without getting involved in groups.

He looks more 40k / Imperial to me than Cadians.
Good old 2e Codex Imperialis.
Sad indeed this design never got reused.

Randos will be randos. At higher levels and difficulty you'll get more experienced players that don't somehow manage to die in the first five minutes of sedition 1.

My main gripe is character progression and how shitty the itemization is.

You're given no info on what anything means so might as well just make up your own interpretation.

Also they're clearly trying to balance things and haven't updated the text for anything, so nothing is what it says in the game. Zealot F only giving half toughness, etc.

At least shooting heretics for the Emprah is still fun.

If there are NO tooltips then this is reaching peak retardation, far worse than V2. For the pictograms, the first is probably "Force" or "Energy". The second is an explosion I suppose ? (In V2 Sienna's flail has a explosion on strong attacks). As for the last one, what does it even represent ? Did they hired a cavemen to do all of this ? :?

Mobility might be about the dodges efficience. In V2 dual and 1H weapons have better dodges. In short : a longer invicibility time frame and a higher limit of "efficient" dodges. It would be new if your weapon realy affects your speed this time.

First Target of what ? Is this about the first enemy of the mission or the first BLOW on a a foe ?(Doing more damages or staggering on first blow was a thing in V2) Da fuck is this ?!?

Finesse ? Is this the weapon's speed ? The versatility of its attack pattern ?

...Who would have thought Lascaux cave paintings would have been clearer than Fatshark's work ?

On the internet, writing shit posts.
Oddly enough, I remember there being explanations in the closed beta.
If you hovered over the weapon it would reveal a pop-up that gave a little more information.
I guess they removed it in the pre-order beta?

From what I remember, the first icon is supposed to fire mode. Like, for lasguns there would be a gun icon with a single bullet or something to denote that it's semi-automatic.
The second icon is...damage type, I think. I vaguely recall there being an effect that tells you if it staggers or armour piercing or something.
The third icon is the special attack it has. Like how you can rev the chainsword.
I'm assuming that the arrows for the force sword is supposed to be denote that you can power it up.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I have an RX 6800. Any idea on what kind of performance I can expect at 1080p, all settings on low? What about settings on medium?

Keeping everything cryptic is a deliberate choice. They say they want to promote experimentation and let people feel the joy of discovering things for themselves. Except they went about it in the dumbest way possible and everyone hates it. But they won't change it because it's their vision.
There are also a bunch of other secrets which the game doesn't even hint at, like how lasguns do less damage at close range. We played the entire closed beta and I don't think anyone ever worked that out for themselves. And then a while later one of the devs casually mentioned it on stream, like wow, why are people using lasguns at close range when that makes them do less damage? The reason is because you didn't tell us that you fuck.

My low resolution but 100% accurate thoughts on Dark Tide so far:

Hahahah, that's a nice summary. What about the movement? Does it feel awesome like in Quake / Half-Life; or does it feel slow like a console shooter?
Movement's nothing like old school shooters, not even as good as something like Necromunda: Hired Gun (which was buggy and awful otherwise).

Expect modern FPS sensibilities, including not being able to sprint for more than a few seconds despite being a seasoned veteran. Someone described it like moving through molasses, and that's probably the best description of it.

However, unlike Necromunda, the moment to moment gameplay here is solid enough that I'll keep playing. It's just all the other stuff (progression, items, map design, etc) that are really, really underdesigned. Nowhere is this more evident than the fact that the devs decided to slap nonsensical bars on item stats (like damage) instead of numbers, and they aren't even accurate (you need to go into the training sim to test out damage numbers yourself).

Like someone else said, this is probably an intentional choice. Everything in the game feels like it just encourages you to nolife play it for 1000 hours.

This is top five best selling on steam and it's not even officially released yet. Lol at the state of modern gaming.

I have to admit, the art direction in this seems really good.
Music is great.
And the visuals really give that "horrors of living in a disgusting SF rusty tin can" vibe.

Thanks for the detailed answer.
I didn't research about the game much because of the system requirements; my old PC can't handle it. I love Warhammer 40K universe, but you said there is progression and items... I don't think these elements goes well with the genre. Left 4 Dead's main success, in my opinion, was being simple. Maybe I can try it when I upgrade my PC and buy on a good discount.

In Vermintide 2 aside from some extra effect on really special weapons (the orange ones) their actual playstyle was tied to the inherent properties of a weapon (crossbow vs rifle, for example). I am expecting the same deal here.
