So, they fucked up W3 beyond belief and instead of fixing that, they decide to desecrate another old title. That's Blizzard, all right.

Although, let's be honest, people who will buy this don't care about W2, they will gladly pay 90 bucks to get the WoW mount that comes together with it.

And this is needed why exactly? The GOG version works fine on modern hardware, the game looks still pretty good as the art was good and it's late 2D "hand draw" (or at least not obviously pre-rendered) art anyway.

I cannot imagine graphics being any better than they were when i played it for the first time 25 years ago. Maybe the cinematics but then, they would be made in the modern WoW style so no.

Not really interested in playing this, but I am curious about how much they will readjust the old lore and reimagine the game in the matter of graphics department.

The fun part is, I remember the times, old times, where people begged Blizzard for the War 1-3 remasters. Nowdays it looks like a bad idea, but Starcraft remaster didn't turned bad, I think.

Kinda weird? They've released W3 remaster first and completely fucked it up and that one had an incomparably bigger potential customer base. Not sure what the plan is here.

It's probably an AI upscale with no balance or campaign changes. It will make some money eventually if that's the case.

Isn't already called Wargus? That was open source Warcraft 2, you could even mod factions. I remember replacing the Giant Turtle with Kinder Happy Hippo and that was an organic unit with regeneration (the other submarine was cheaper and weaker), also I did a rock/paper/scissor system that allowed footmen to beat knights and grunts but were weak against archers.

In all seriousness, what even needs to be "rEmAsTeReD" here? The sprite art is perfect. The music is perfect. The sound design is perfect. No zoomer ever will buy or play it, nor do the Grognards who have been playing this for twenty years via unofficial modifications on the net. This really smells like a by-product of a sales pitch on how to sell even more exclusive WoW pets for big bucks.
