I wonder how long would 50/50 male-female tag team survive in postapocalypse. If those females were hardened women, like some based Republican Momma Bear which first shot from her Daddy's magnum, then learned word "Daddy!", some Chinese/Russian ex-spy that uses her sexuality as well as sniper, some Black Panther militant BLM chick dual wielding uzies, I could get any of them being part of team that goes to hunt zombies. Any such female archetype would make sense to be hero in zombie apocalypse story. But no. What instead we have here is danger hair, college educated, how do I boil egg, guns are disgusting, this zombie just hurled micro-agression at meee hwhite woman and fragile looking asian that was probably her classmate. Not to mention completely forced and artificial 50/50 split male to female when it comes to heros. Stop it Wall, you're sperging again. But wait broes. Itz not just here. In 90% of screenshots and videos released in last 6 months to year, this is the case. Funny, coincides with getting Publisher. Not in Urban Strife only. In every single Western indie or mainstream game

You'd have 100% black, BLM scavenger groups in big cities which would carve their little urban Wakandas, and kill any white survivor with same prejudice as with average zombie. Who knows whether salvation to the outside world or something worse then zombie plague would come out of Jeff Bezos Vault or Elon Musk Tower

How's it possible, that without any concrete censorship system on Steam, literally no bars hold, all indie creativity, and I have seen many sparks of creativity, gets neutered and changed into something Reddit approved, as soon as it approaches its release date. That's why when games like Sir Brante or Suzerain come out, thou with very small budgets people LOVE them. Every mercenary, with their backstory made sense. You have screenshots for Urban Strife where fake red hair, fake blue hair college white women + Nigerian urban princess + their whip boy, gay white friend go around and "survive". Buahahaha. Just buahahaha. Can't wait for Reality to hit like truck dear in the night anyone who finds nothing weird about that

It's a game about shooting other people in a world full of undead. If you expected something without violence, you clearly went looking in the wrong place. We'll paint the world as it should be - criminals will deal in drugs, guns and sex. That's usually what they do and even more so in an apocalyptic scenario. If your kid is younger than 18 and he's innocent about these things, you'll do well to keep him away from 18+ games. No hard feelings.

No, you actually just make assumptions and they are false. Those variations you mention are all one character - your avatar. If you want to play as a male, just play as a male and forget about the blue hair.
Also there are just two female recruitables so far in the game, a hunter/sniper that comes from an army family (Kaylee) and a nurse with a military background (Lucy) with a specialty in stealth assassination. The rest are male. And quite bad ass.

PS: The team composition is entirely up to you, the 50/50 thing is just something you'll have for the intro (starting team). Also you'll run a team of 5 so there's no 50/50 per se.

All screenshots having 50/50 male/female split is mathematical impossibility on its own, and is probably ordered by Publisher or someone from marketing/HR. Still, game continues to look extremely promising and I keep it on my list "10 upcoming RPGs that will be guaranteed Incline". I just hope game won't conjure up some fake reality that only exists in some Netflix show like Glee.TM, and unleash zombie apocalypse on it. Our reality is far more interesting

The Legion fits the story (apparently there's a Legion in JA3 too, Fallout doesn't hold any divine right over that faction).

But since you asked... Lino Cesare, the guy who holds the Shelter under siege when the game starts, is of Italian origins and claims he's a direct offspring of the Roman emperors. The man has lost his marbles, but under the circumstances, it's understandable. Also since he's the local garbage man / mafioso and he has a habit of organizing pit fights between his opponents and zombies, there is nobody alive to contradict him. That is generally bad for those who lost contact with reality.

You kill him and move on. Or he kills you and the game ends. Either way, there are 18 major groups / subfactions in Urban, you'll soon forget old Lino Cesare if that's what worries you.

Nah, don't worry, MicroProse dudes are completely chill and old-school type of gamers. They love the 90s vibes as much as we do and they'd probably cut their right arm off before pushing PC crap down our throat. If the 50/50 split bothers you that much we have good news - we're well on our way to complete the first tier of the campaign. That means at least 2 new recruitables will join the team: a mechanic and an FBI agent. So the team layout will start to vary and you'll see new faces.
