Seriously, Arcanum is one of the easiest games on the planet. Grow a spine.
There are many items in the game that are placed like that, you can get them by clicking on them while holding down the ALT button.wrhunter said:By the way, Drog, did you deleted the opened box and the steel under it at Crash Site?
Dweller said:Hi, first post around here and all. I've had Arcanum for a lot of years but never got around to play it for real, mainly because all my characters seemed to die pretty quick, anyway to help my survival I went straight to Ashbury this time and recruited the mutt; the thing is, he's not leveling up and I can't seem to find a straight answer to this problem. Is he even supposed to level up?
hmm seems possible, thanks will keep playing till lvl 13 to see if it changes anythingKavax said:Dweller said:Hi, first post around here and all. I think it will only start leveling up when you get to level 13
It's definitely a cursed item, have you removed armour, weapons, rings etc. ?BuzzKillington said:I have only just picked up this game again after a long time, and i had forgotten how addictive it is.
i dont know if this is a bug, or some sort of curse that doesent show up as it is not on your character. Every Minute or so Virgil gets a massive loss to his fatigue and often falls unconsious due to it, however he still regenerates at a normal rate during both normal and fast time modes. When this occurs a symbol made up of triangles appears around his feet (coloured red). This is what makes me think it is not a bug.
In an attempt to rectify this i have removed all items from Virgils inventory and used spells such as heal and dispel magic, however to no effect. This problem also continues after Virgils death and ressurection.
Thankyou for you help in advance, and i would just like to thank the creator/creators of this patch, you have been a great help.
Have you installed the official patch before installing Drog's patch ?BuzzKillington said:Yes, i have removed everything from the character and the effect still remains
You need Inteligence for talking about the idol, and persuasion for obtain the idol's key.Dweller said:Seems the Mutt's issue really was a non-issue after all, he's now leveling up after I got up to lvl 13.
I do have a slight problem with a quest though, for some reason in Stillwater I can't seem to get the option to talk to Marley about the idol. I already have the quest, am I missing some other event trigger?
True, sorry for that, but I did thought this could be a bug like the one from the Blackroot Mayor's quest where he wouldn't accept the quest item without a quick fix.Whispering Darkness said:This thread is mostly used for reporting bugs and issues in the game. There are probably other threads that can assist in quests and other things of that nature.
The line "Excuse me? You weren't addressing me, were you?" is used in several dialogs as a low reaction line available to charismatic characters. However, there's no correct response for this line in Wheeler's dialog, so looks like they've just copied the line, but never made a response for it. I'll remove the line and the CH check, so there will be only one low reaction line left: "Please, honored sir, my motives are innocent, I assure you.".Whispering Darkness said:When I talked to the guard outside Throgg's hideout, Captain Wheeler I believe, he treated me as an idiot when I first talked to him. He was suspicious of me, 24 reaction I believe.
Can you try to remember what item caused this? Looks like effects of some cursed item didn't get properly reset.BuzzKillington said:Yes, i have removed everything from the character and the effect still remains
Since you have told him your story, he's suspicious of you, so I guess that's why they made giving him the skull optional in this case.Koshachiy Barin said:Here's something I've found.
In the Panarii temple in Caladon, if you ask Hadrian the Archaeologist about the remains of Nasrudin, then tell him your story (lines 2-11-21-33-48-65-68-71-78-158-161-164-260-263-...), then return from the crypt with the skull but tell Hadrian about your observations first (27-275), you won't be able to tell him about the skull, and he won't take it from you.
If you don't tell him your story, on the other hand, you can later tell him only about your observations and the skull (line 190), so he properly takes it.
I don't think it was intended because the quest is left as "uncompleted" in the journal. Also, why can't I give him the skull after telling him about what I've seen? Like, for example...Drog Black Tooth said:Since you have told him your story, he's suspicious of you, so I guess that's why they made giving him the skull optional in this case.
- I don't know. Good God. [Hadrian looks dully out the window. He's obviously in shock.] Why? Why would they have buried him in the tomb of Nasrudin? I...just...[he trails off...]
- Hadrian...what are we going to do?
- There's something else...[Tell him of the message in blood.]
- There's something else. I brought back the skull for you to look at...
- May I see it, please?
- Of course...[Give it to him.]
- The skull...it's not elven! It's a human skull! [Hadrian slowly shakes his head, lost in thought.]
