RPG Codex is now for people who want to post on Reddit, but can't because they don't allow racial slurs.
man, I hated posting on reddit. It's not just about what you can't say but that it operates on a hivemind. An up/downvote rating system is the death of individual thought.

Hi.

Gosh I was thinking of this when reading the 2022 GOTY results thank-you for doing this. Using your data I put together a Top 5 list based on all the images that had overall total score so it sorts it out on one list but all credit goes to you and Felipepepe for the numbers okay? Okay!

1. Divinity Original Sin Series with 4476 points.
2. Pillars of Eternity Series with 3279 points.
3. Age of Decadence with 2054 points.
4. Shadowrun: Dragonfall with 2026 points.
5. Disco Elysium with 1953 points.

Thanks,
Sherry

And what is exactly the purpose of putting whole series together against single titles? Other than trying to get some edgy results that is.

Only if it has any consequences. We have on too with all the "retarded" and "brofists", etc. ratings as well. However, since it has no effect other that filtering some extremely easily butthurt or stupid people, it doesn't do much against "individual thought".

So Elden Ring is actually good? I thought it looked more like your run-of-the-mill action RPG, wouldn't think it would win GOTY on the Codex.

There wasn't much competition last year and there are a lot Dark Souls fans here too. Witcher III is another example that won the Age of Incline vote.

It's a Fromsoft game with open world, so of course it made buckets of money and is popular enough to snag GOTYs everywhere, even here.

As for being actually good, depends who you ask. Fromsoft fans generally don't consider it the best of their work though. But it is massive (and somewhat repetitive).

The thread about the results was hilarious, i missed it - Atlantico in there was pure codexian poetry. Thanks LE for reminding me (us) of it and giving a chance to read it.
