I'm sure it's just another quality installment in a proud franchise with glorious history.

So uh, does the game have anything to justify it? Or is it just another tedius popamole corridor QTE shooter?

With additional boobs and buttocks. Also cutting edge Hair Techonlogy because you know, "We are worth it!"

Edit: You can hunt animals, eat them or craft stuff. Also XP and levelling up! yay RPG elements...........

What the fuck is it with these QTEs? Am I just shit at pressing buttons or is this some sort of joke? Because I fail every single one 20+ times.

They're designed for controllers. That wolf QTE is fucking impossible on a keyboard, once i plugged my pad in, i did it in first try.

Just started playing. Climbing the slope QTE in the very begining is the new low for modern gaming. :retarded:

Pretty much. You must quickly mash LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT to climb. Then a stone suddenly falls on you and you must quickly tap direction shown on screen.

Edit.

Next scene: Lara must cross a gorge by walking on a log. I stoped in the middle of the log and actually tried to make her fall on purpose. Guess what? Nothing happened. It's impossible to fall.

It's a mix of a game and a movie.

Gameplay is so reduced - not like in Dear Esther of course. I've noticed, you can't even pop moles and hide behind covers in order to do stealthy stuff. Heck, you can't even CROUCH. You can do it only in specific places the same goes for stealth and many other things. For being a proper "game" everything is happening too automaticly. There's not much of a game in the game if you know what I mean.
I think that's why they started series from the beginning - it's a different thing now.
Enviroments are beautifuly done - models and textures are top notch - and it runs pretty good on ULTRA textures, 1680x1050 on my shitty 9600GT and my laughable 1 GB RAM. They've put MUCH work into the game and it shows.

Good for what is is, I guess. :smug:

QTE's should have their own warning sticker like the parental advisory stickers. Any game that has them should be banned from stores.

I heard it's not that bad after 60 minutes. Not bad in the terms of full of QTE.
I'm more than an hour in now.
It's still pretty bad but they're not as frequent.

Im avoiding CQC just to get rid of that QTEs... Shotgun and bow is enough for me.
Still silly QTEs happen, i sometimes feel like playing Hugo...

I don't get why devs insist on putting in QTEs. From everything I read it seems like absolute majority of gamers/reviewers hate them. In the list of gaming trends that need to die, this shit would be on top. I eventually managed to made peace with cover systems and health regen (for the most part) but this shit I'll never be capable of enjoying.

Except for the QTE its prettty good, comparable to the last uncharted , stunning graphically on ultra, on utime settings it gets a little too slow for my tastes .I dont understand why so many games include QTE , no one like them, it adds nothing to the game only frustration. On keyboard i do fail them all the time too, on a pad yes its super easy. Now problem is theres also lot of shooting, and its way way more convenientwith the mouse, i cant see myself witching all the time from pad to mouse .
