Behind you.
BG3 probably won't have influence on any AAA games coming out until 2026, the dev cycles are too long.
Oh, I think there's plenty of time to gay up several of these games since most of them that are going to release this year will still have had a year's worth of time before most of them release.

I vote Fable because to this day, Fable II is one of the top 10 games that I have ever played.

Second goes to Avowed because I'm not interested in Dragon Age 4, that series stopped being good at its first installment.

Vampire? Play the TTRPG instead.

But then you'd have to meet Vampire players irl

My advice: don't
Is it as bad on Fantasy Grounds as it is in RL?
They added a disclaimer about how the game is just meant to be fiction and not a real thing immediately after they started publishing the game's books. Vampire has the highest concentraton of gay degenerates out of any tabletop game, only Warhammer comes in second.

Yeah. The premise attracts the crazies like flies. Other tabletop gamers considered them freaks back in the day. The old guard still do, altho younger generations seem to be ignorant of all the scandal and general gross stuff. I definitely remember reading one play by post forum from the late 2000s or early 2010s where you had vamp players with werewolf PCs as pets on leashes and dudes posting gruesome torture porn snuff scenes.

Makes everything in MoonFall look tame and vanilla by comparison.

Well I remember art of some Marilyn Manson looking characters in bondage gear from those books, probably related to Nosferatu, but still, it was part of that sort of scene. Vampire catered to the alt goth 90s scene and not the usual fat hairy fantasy nerd.

SomethingAwful has two articles on that:

https://www.somethingawful.com/dungeons-and-dragons/vampire-artwork-montreal/1/

The image you’re describing is probably the one with the strap on and the woman’s corpse in a public urinal… that’s actually a real thing they published

That's exactly the image I had in mind, but looking through this is kinda great in a weird way - the art reeks of 80s black and white comic book shlock (which was often in this brand of edge, stuff like The Crow came from that era), 90s goth, indie comics in general, and the very early stages of Amerimanga. Wow.

Dragon Age 4 will be cringe and troon singularity, with VTMB 2 closely behind.

Bioware has never really produced a financial flop(EA would cull them if they did)
I learned my lesson with DA2. Which leads to me being completely and utterly incapable of understanding the following: Who the fuck actually buys this shit? Why would anyone do that?
Obsidian and BioWare being financial solvent in the year of our Lord 2k24 is genuinely perplexing to me.

These games looks like the typical dumbed down shits that passed for RPGs in the worst period for the genre, around 2006-2014, so nothing new under the sun. What it is strange is that at the time the kids rarely criticized them, while now they think they are living in some kind of gaming apocalypse. Maybe Baldur's Gate 3 has created a cognitive dissonance in their manipulable brains.

Neither Obsidian nor Bioware are independent companies, and speculation is rampant as to whether their owners will discontinue them if their terrible forthcoming games are commercial flops (unlikely for Obsidian, since it hadn't been doing poorly with its last few games, but quite possible with Bioware that has been struggling for years).

Let's see: Avowed is written by Carrie Pattel (Californian feminist)
How many damn Pattels are there?
I remember reading the Starfield credits and it was FULL of Pattels...
Explains why that game was so shitty.

There's a huge difference between the RPG dark ages and today. When I look at RPGs from the dark ages, I see market conditions driving developers towards consolization, reduction and casualization.

When I look at modern RPGs, I see a completely corporatized product with mandatory brainrot masquerading as a game.

Do we need all these fucking fancy graphics, voice actors, cutscenes, and bullshit? People are fucking spoiled numb. Just as well go all full implant and be put into the game or holodeck because honestly... games won't get better until the next MASSIVE technological breakthrough. I think Musk is working in this.

I just don't believe any game is going to hit that next level of stimulation. Maybe these shit games are needed (blek) so the better games hit that high so to speak like a drug.

There's meh, ok, not bad and utter CRAP!

Sales indicate yes. Obviously a person like me will note that this wouldn't happen if it wasn't for storyfaggots but that's just me. I warned you. You didn't listen. You continued to jerk off to planescrap borement
