The artist does a pretty splendid work of parodying that particular style as well, even though it's at the expense of readability

It's up there with Doom Patrol, IMHO. I think Morrison's always a competent writer, but I find the more generic super hero stories kind of boring (even though he does them well), and some of his things feel a bit too confused (or maybe I was just ridiculously tired when I read the Filth, I dunno), Sea Guy is bizarre but also very internally coherent and just fucking... it's got these really sad moments, heroic moments, etc. Might do a let's read of it actually.
