Also, let's check out Sabin's and Cyan's skills.
Every character in FF6 has some sort of special ability and some of them even have two. So this makes them unique from each other, in addition to name, sprite and backstory. The game stll has its legs on the ground though, as everyone can use any of the relics and most characters can use majority of the weapons and armours.

Sabin, as mentioned previously, is our kung-fu guy and here we can see his current three techniques. I only ever use the <- -> <- one because it is both easy to remember and powerful enough. His attacks get better the more he levels up so it's not like you even have to learn new ones to remain competitive.

Cyan currently has three SwordTechniques as well. The first one, Dispatch, is the quick basic attack which he can do immediately. The second one, Retort, is almost as quick but pretty useless - it only makes him ready to do a counterattack if attacked. The third one, Slash, is supposed to halve the HP of an enemy but regular foes usually have so little that its better to just use Dispatch and most of the bosses are immune to it.

Good update, but you could try to fix some details to make it better (write down the dialogues instead of posting them as screenshoots, separate images, etc.) Also, that "whole family dying" of Cyan felt much more emotive than Aeris emotionally engaging retarded death. Why happened Squaresoft? There was a time you made good games...

Imagine the masterful music on both of those scenes. Actually, big part of the train scene is actually silent, to make it seem even more powerful, the train engine whistling loudly and the train pulling away. It seems that creative people are always on their best when constrained by budget and technology - as in many movies.

And that was our penultimate target, the Serpent Trench which will allow us to get back to Narshe. We didn't actually float to another continent because when Sabin fell from the raft, it was up in the mountains that you can just glimpse in the pictures. He then as made his way more and more south until reaching Veldt, which is pretty much the southernmost tip of this peninsula. Apparently there is no regular ship-service between Mobliz and any town on the main "part" of the continent so this current thingy is our only chance of getting back home. Too bad it's stolen, huh? Perhaps we should play detective?

Brilliant! This actually works with the world map. Too bad that this clever little hint is completely unnecessary, as the Crescent Mountain Cave is the only location, aside from the village, that we can enter and the villagers in Mobliz pointed it out to us already. Still, I guess it would prevent some players from just wandering around Veldt, aimlessly, hoping for something to happen.

And Gau's stats. He cannot wear any weapons as the Rage-ability is his only ability. Gau is a very mixed bag. Without periodically returning to the Veldt and getting his Rage-abilities upgraded, he quickly becomes very obsolete in his damage output. Still, if you can get him some nifty monsters to emulate, he can be quite powerful. Unfortunately, while he rages, he is under AI control. All in all, I've never valued him that much as there usually is no shortage of party-members. I don't think any other Final Fantasy has as big a roster as this one.
