Apparently there was supposed to be an announcement by the end of the year. The countdown in the thread has just been counting down the days left in the year.

So they only have 2 more days to make an announcement before they fail to do what they said they'd do.
Oh, I see. Thanks for explaining the situation.

Well, in that case they could be holding off until the last possible moment. Probably trying to get everything in [relative] order.

Which is something developers seem far too comfortable with.
To be honest, a lot of people fail to meet their deadlines, not just video game developers. That's why I consider "it's done when it's done" to be the best response. You can avoid people complaining about delays and you can show what you want, when you want.

Agreed. I'm just tired of the apparently standard practice of setting public deadlines and then breaking them. It seems manipulative. Fueling the hype machine for the incurably gullible.

We can hope that's not the case here, and that they will announce something, but I'm too jaded to hope very hard.

Crorck, apparently (at least that what it is called in the file name). No idea who the author is or if it is even relevant.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Pathfinder: Wrath

So nothing?
That's really weird, why did they wait until the last day to say "we are not having anything and you will have to wait an indefinite amount of time"

2019 has been a wonderful adventure, talking to friends and fans, and planning our new franchise! We're talking with publishers, and exploring all of our options on how to make our dream game a reality. We will share the news with you all when it's official! Happy New Year!

Good for them on keeping their business private.

Perhaps OnceLost had been working to secure a deal with a publisher before the end of the year and that deal did not work out.

Serious question: anyone aware of a publisher that would allow them to make the kind of game the people excited about it would want?
