Let's dig up Last Rites as I found you can actually now play .DSF files with the vgmstream plugin (in Foobar2000 etc.)

The soundtrack in Splinter Cell is unremarkable, for most of the game. But then you get to Burma and all different parts of the suite (exploration, detection and combat music) ramp up and make the entire level unforgettable.

Exploration music, especially evocative while following the soldier through the tunnels

This creates great tension when there are soldiers all around

And a great combat theme to top it all off

Great suite that can rival any in Chaos Theory (Kokubo Sosho, Displace, Bank, Battery) and it wasn't even composed by Amon Tobin. Good stuff.

Sounds like ultra generic tense "cinematic" music that could be from pretty much any Hollywood movie or AAA game. Whatever floats your boat man ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
