Left 4 Dead 2 is easily worth it. Assuming you have bros you'd wanna play it with, even just 1 other bro. It's passable with the AI, but playing it by yourself isn't at all ideal.

Picked up a spot in a NyxQuest and GTA 4 Episodes group, considering that Lara Croft game. I like top down arcadey shooters with points, but I dunno.

Ah well, picked up L4D2. Probably would have passed if the price was higher but since it's low, that I love co-op and heard generally good things about it, I can risk it. Downloading it and then I can look for CODEX BROS.

I picked it up too. Friends knowing about tehdeclinezorz said it was pretty good.

If anyone wants a game or two, Steam-handle is Grunker :D

I have to work on my Linux installation now, but I'll be downloading the game in an hour or sth when I switch to Windows.

The new Lara Croft game is excellent. Isometric, fun combat, beautiful surroundings, nice puzzles, pretty addictive if you ask me. Worth seven bucks easily. L4D2 is a steal for 3 dollars, grab that.

Is Supreme Commander 2 worth anything as a strategy? I never played the first game, but I heard - mostly from fans of the first - that it's not nearly as good. However, for 5€ this is tempting.

The new Lara Croft has the best combat out of all series indeed. The only problem is that it is absolutely unplayable without the gamepad (unless you really want your hand to hurt because all movements are diagonal and so you have to constantly press several movement keys at the same time. Jumps are diagonal too).

People say that SC2 is like dumbed down SupCom1 so I can't even begin to imagine how shitty it is. SupCom1 was attrocious in its boredom and primitive gameplay (churn out more units than the enemy - win)

Haven't played it myself, but one of my buddies, big fan of the first SupCom, raged about SupCom2 for a nearly two weeks. In short - he said that "dumbed down" doesn't even begins to describe its decline.

Audiosurf is an awesome game, probably even better than Osu! but you should try both of them (Osu! is a free game btw so check it out, it's not on steam)

It has gotten quite a bit better with patches. Also features the best AI in an RTS game ever (In skirmishes). Campaign mode pretty much sucks, worthless story, doesn't have the smart AI. If you feel like RTS it's well worth checking out at $4.

It's only fun for 4-5 hours (or whenever "run to another button, press it and fight off waves of enemies then repeat it 100 times" gets boring for you). After that you just finish the campaign with your bros and don't even touch the DLCs. And then forget about the game forever.

He's right though. I bought the first L4D on a sale, played for a couple of hours with friends and got bored of it. I don't think it has any sort of replayability, unless of course you are a coopfag and don't mind doing the same thing over and over again.

So far I've picked up Puzzle Quest 2, Nyxquest, Doc Clock, World of Goo, Eufloria, Iron Grip: Warlord, and VVVVVV for a whopping $10. Balked on Tropico 3 and Alpha BROtocol which I'll revisit at the big sale in three weeks. BIT.TRIP and Rythm Zone (ghetto version of guitar hero) somewhat interest me in the Pulse Indie pack but I'm not too much of a high score nut to see myself replaying those that often. As cool as it looks, BIT.TRIP apparently only has thee stages.

I suspected as much Skyway and Alexandros, but even if you're right, 5 hours of good fun for 3 euros is not exactly a bad deal.

I like it for the randomness and the drama. It's boring to play with madly experienced players, but play it with a couple of bros now and then and every tank will become a crazy rush of terror and adrenaline. Hiding in a closet in complete darkness while a witch is moaning just outside it is good, hilarious stuff. Emergent gameplay, bros.

EDIT: And for some reason the cooperative gameplay never gets boring for me. I dislike most competitive games, so actually working with a friend against a common enemy is interesting.

I haven't, and propably never will.

The original PQ is a fun little game in which I raped the demo and wanted more. However, just before I did that I heard news of an upcoming expansion pack, so I thought I'd hold out and wait for the expansion pack to be released on the PC before buying the whole pack.

It was only ever released on the X-Bawks.

:rage:

I am anal when it comes to "unfinished" games: I don't buy them.

I'm pretty much the same. Playing co-op with friends is usualy an endless source of fun for me, especially at high difficulties. We all know how we're supposed to do this shit but you can bet your mom's knickers that someone will screw up at some point. I don't know how many times I replayed the first two Serious Sam games in co-op.

And so far I like what I have seen of L4D2, especially the randomness of the spawns. Plus it comes with a good deal of levels right now. Hope I can get some Codex BROS to play it with tonight.
