I grabbed Nation Red for $5 and I think I'll probably enjoy that more than most of those ID titles (although I do already have FO3). Oh, also, Global Agenda is terrible. Standard grind fest MMO style with a moronic community.

Nation Red is awesome as shit. I bought that... Uh... Either during this last winter sale or before that, and they've been updating it out the ass. Started out a pretty bad arcade shooter, now it's a pretty enjoyable arcade shooter.
I guess awesome as shit might be overstating it but I was appreciative that they fixed their busted game and added a lot stuff to it. I was looking at Burn Zombie Burn earlier and it doesn't seem as good as Nation Red.

I appreciate the fact the devs work their ass off to constantly improve the game. Hell, sometimes I even want to strangle some of the people that keep asking for massive amounts of content from the guys considering it's a $10 budget indie title. They say stuff like, "This game could be so much more if..." Hold the phone, Skippy, its TEN DOLLARS. Poor devs. It's one of the upsides of Steam: allowing smaller outfits to distinguish themselves through quality titles and excellent continued support. The Trine developers are also really good at this, although obviously Trine was a lot more polished on its release.

I liked the looks of Burn Zombie Burn a lot and was on the fence on whether to get that (if the opening price was low enough) versus Nation Red on sale. A friend of mine got it and from his feedback and the people posting on the Steam forum it seems to be a somewhat sloppy PS3 port. I'd just as soon as wait a few months for it to be $5, too, and for them to possibly fix some of the issues.

Is Stalker + expansion worth $9?
By expansion do you mean Clear Sky? It's not, it's a stand-alone sequel.
And to answer you question: SOC alone is worth $9. So consider CS a freebie. Both together: definitely worth the price.

BUT, make absolutely sure SOC is patched to at least 1.0004 and CS to the latest (1.10). And using the unofficial patches (ZRP and SRP respetively) is highly recommended.

The package is Shadow of Chernobyl & Call of Pripyat. Frankly it's a steal and the whole planet should buy it.

Oooh yeah - downloading now....

Say what you will about steam/valve, but you gotta hand it to 'em, their sales are the best anywhere online :salute: (well, except maybe PB and demonoid).

Have to keep checking in 2-3 times a week to make sure I'm not missing out on anything - which is of course the whole point ;)

Damn skippy. :salute:

They just patched it to allow duels on the battlefield, or something. That sounds really cool to me. I can't wait to try it out.

so warband good, skip the original?

Original's friggin awesome. If you can, get them both. Original has a different map and ton more mods, so it's not just a matter of Warband being an upgraded M&B, there's some differences between the two.

Sounds really interesting, how does it work? And is the AI good enough to actually pose a threat in 1v1 now?

I dunno man, I've barely played it yet. But I just read a book on the history of dueling, and--this is where it gets interesting--the warband character I created was designed to be a duelist. And now that they've added an actual dueling mechanic, however it works, I'm going to have fun issuing some challenges. :D

Alas, I just got Elemental, so I'm playing that right now.

When the gamemode is Duels, you cannot hurt people on teh battlefield, first you must press F to demand a duel, if he corresponds then you can hurt him and viceversa.
Its nice since there are no fags charging from your back and you can avoid 2haded spamers if you want.

Mount and blade is some sort of medieval mounted combat simulator, with 4X elements.Warband simply allow mulitplayer mode, buts its not a mmo.
Highly recommended game.
