Ok, text written!:

July 28, 2002.

A division dedicated to the apreciation of RPGs is founded, the RPG Codex.

Veterans of Xeen, Britiania, Krondor and Arkania gathered... Battle brothers who knew the true definition of an RPG.

But those were dark times.

Demons came out of the Warp, demanding dumbing down, streamlining and CONSOLE PORTS!

One after another, the great companies of the past crumbled before the unleashed might of the consoles.

After each defeat, the future of gaming sounded worse and worse...

The remaining warriors struggled to survive, replaying old classics... starving for hope

Glorious Codexia became a desolate land, were no choice had consequence.

It was... the Age of Decline!
Darth Roxor & root, I did a guide VA, just so you have an idea of the rhythm. Feel free to play with the tone, but remenber this is SAD grimdark:

EDIT: HobGoblin42 can try as well (or better not, I really wanna play CC soon). :P

EDIT 2: Added one line to the text, explaining the origin of DECLINE.

root: Your samples are clipped. Have you tried lowering the recording volume? It might help.

felipepepe: I was joking. You trashed me so hard. :(

it doesn't work. it just picks up every little ambient noise and amplifies them too hard. lots of static. idk how to clean it, filter it maybe? it's supposed to be a p good one but it always had this

If you are recording on your PC (I assume you are), try moving the mic to the Line-In jack instead of mic in (make sure to switch your input to line-in). It should in theory amplify it less if mic-in appears too hot.

Zep--

it's on an USB port

Ahhh, well if you want to experiment or try something else, headphones can be plugged into mic-in (or line-in) and you speak into the earpiece (try both, sometimes only one side works as the "mic" because of the stereo shiz...). You may be only able to pick up in one earpiece or the other.

A trick someone taught me long ago when I needed a quick mic and none were around.

This one was pretty good, worked very well on the video and even inspired me to make some mean changes... video's done and all I need to do is render it now... unless root's VA is REALLY awesome and without mic noise, we're done. :)

EDIT: Damn, I can't stop watching. Is so good I think I'm just gonna release it now... Roxor's accent does wonders.

EIDT 2: Found some errors, will have to re-render... :cleve feelings: Root, run!

And here we go: (also updated the OP)

Was really hard to decide between Darth Roxor 's and root 's voices... Roxor was closer to the tone of the video I wanted, but root was more SPESS MEHRENS! I shall release root's as the "official one", but Roxor's video is here, if he wants to see.

I brofisted you thrice for this (I had to unbrofist you each time so it probably won't show, but it's the thought that counts).

Good shit, I slashed up my cock with a razor after watching it so the final boner I achieved was related to strong incline.

Are going to put both versions in the OP?
I don't see why... root's version is the "official" one, I released Roxor's one to make up for all his helpfull-ness and bro-ness...

"MCA RTFM" -- i think my favorite part so far
So glad someone noticed. :P

Looking forward to part 2.
That one might take a bit more, as I edited the prologue & part I at the same time, but have absoloutly nothing for "Part II; Age of Incline". I'm open for ideas, btw. :)

Man, that was amazing. I had an idea a while ago of writing a German opera musical about Brian Fargo's quest to combat the decline, but nothing ever came of it...

Gotta say I'm a bit worried... I've had a script in my head for some time, but the recent development of some Kickstarter projects made me weary of adding some people in the video as part of the Incline squad...
