Looks like those raiders from Fallout 3, with the same amount of intelligence, bringing a knife to a laser gun fight.
Flaw: Too much stealth, boss characters instantly spot you.You can be flawed, in a good way: New to The Outer Worlds is the idea of flaws. A compelling hero is made by the flaws they carry with them. While playing The Outer Worlds, the game tracks your experience to find what you aren't particularly good at. Keep getting attacked by Raptidons? Taking the Raptiphobia flaw gives you a debuff when confronting the vicious creatures, but rewards you with an additional character perk immediately. This optional approach to the game helps you build the character you want while exploring Halcyon.
I mean, the marketing for New Vegas didn't do that either. Initial tailers are all about the pretty shit.OK, the trailer looked "pretty" but I did not see any RPG element, anywhere. That means that whatever they have on that area is not something that they want to promote.

They promote the "pew pew", the characters and the world. Might be fun as a game but I doubt it'll be even a competent RPG
There are a lot of RPGs that do not have pew pew though. You know, the ones that are not real time First PersonOK, the trailer looked "pretty" but I did not see any RPG element, anywhere. That means that whatever they have on that area is not something that they want to promote.

That's true of every trailer for every RPG ever. Pew pew makes for better visuals than showing 5 minutes of skill trees and dialogue checks.

Well, let's hope the endgame isn't some rushed dogshit then.I like it. Art style is basically the same as Bloodline's; stat checks in dialogue; retro-futuristic sci fi is still a relatively fresh setting. It could be end up being as good as VtMB, which is, what, 10th in the codex's top 70?
sterile 70s scifi still unexplored.I think all big retro art styles have been exploited in the recent years.
and the problem is? RPG are always based on stats than common sense. in fallout 1 you can bring a sledgehammer to an army of gunmen. in fantasy you can use tiny dagger against spellcasters that literally breathe fire, poison or ice or everything at the same time.Looks like those raiders from Fallout 3, with the same amount of intelligence, bringing a knife to a laser gun fight.
