As expected, reaction from the general public was very positive. Bethesda has gathered peak levels of hatred, turning even some of their most loyal zombie-followers against them with Fallout 76.

The stage is set for Obsidian to make a SLAM DUNK (TM) and cement themselves as a big developer again.

Indeed. The reaction outside the codex is positive.

Are you guys still watching this? There's an actual furry on the stage now talking about cancer.
In the one who consorts with beasts defense, he seemed more like an actual gaming dork than 90% of the people involved with this. Not exactly a high bar but still seems like a better fit than movie trailers and actors.

I smartly missed all of that, although reading reactions to the "show" was kinda funny.

A colony ship "RPG", eh?

Sounds familiar.
Flaws that give you debuffs over which you have no control... and fighting a corporation and bureaucracy. Thrilling. Thats the dream come true. Looks like any other first person "rpg" abomination.
Shame its nowhere close to the artwork illustrations.

LoL

It has even damage numbers popping from enemies when shooting!
And you shit on Cyberpunk 2077 for that shit- "it tries to come out as an RPG with that gimmick!!!"

I’m not that worried. New Vegas featured a cowboy robot, Roman Legionnaires wearing football pads, and all other sorts of rather humorous stuff, yet still managed to be quite mature. I’m willing to give Cain and Boyarsky a chance.

Codexers trying to rationalize their urge to cocksuck obsidian despite a ridiculously bad game reveal...

It was bad no doubt.
I don't know what possessed them to reveal such an odd trailer at such a retarded event.
A 20-30 minute gameplay video would create (I hope) a much better impression, similar to what CDPR did with cyberpunk.

From the creators of Fallout and the developers of Fallout New Vegas comes a game that is literally Fallout 4 except made in a not retarded engine with the entire art style dreamed up by the same guy who came up with Borderlands

Good for what it is incoming. Probably will be an okay Action RPG but it won't have many hubs because Obsidian ran out of money, and release late and buggy.

The best part about this game.. is what a huge Fuck-You it is to Bethesda.

> Bethesda Making Starfield (Fallout in Space)
> Fallout 76 Destroys Bethesda's credibility among Normies..
> Then Obsidian Advertises: "We made All the Good Fallouts"
> Obsidian Makes Fallout in Space - 2019 release date.

Oh no no no.. I bet Todd threw a chair at the wall.
The pop-a-mole kings may be dethroned.. by the company they let run with New Vegas.. Et Tu Obsidian?

EDIT:

Remember This?

I guess Obsidian decided - Fuck you, We'll just make it ourselves. Lol

I like the art style, the setting looks interesting enough. I'll pre-order it, unless the game is having a pre-set protagnist.

Best to stay cautious but this trailer was prepared for an audience who were giving a round of applause to "Ninja", Content Creator of the year so it makes sense that it focused on shooting and light hearted 'humour'.

Best thing Obsidian can do is get on top of what this game is, if it's an RPG like they're calling it on Twitter then they need to show some actual videos showing what we're getting because it's the best time to do it with the '76 fiasco. If they stay cryptic and all they have is a trailer that looks like Borderlands for 3 months it will just confuse people.
