They had something really special with GuildWars, and they threw everything that was good about it out the window.
Fucking retards. Everywhere.
Pat Wyatt's new company formed earlier this year: https://www.onemoregame.com/ No word what they are doing, except something online.Anet was formed by the critical Blizzard Talent behind all of Blizzard's smash hits, most notably Patrick Wyatt and Jeff Strain.
this thing is the lead designer of GW2Is this worth playing?
red flags. red flags everywhere.this thing is the lead designer of GW2Is this worth playing?
what do you think the answer is?
Mainly about using Guild Wars name for something massively different from the original. I won't forgive ANet for this. Not sure what all the butthurt is about.
GW1 is now in strictly maintenance mode as far as I know. These updates aren't new content.Last I heard Guild Wars 1 is still getting updates & patches.

Alive and well. Not sure what all the butthurt is about. GW2 is not GW1, but it’s not like you can’t still play GW1. On it’s own merits, it’s a very solid MMO, and the only one I’ve returned to over and over again across the last 8 years.
The servers still have a massive population, so rumors that this thing is dead are truly exaggerated.
Just a teaser/nothingburger.
I feel the same way. They should have just set Guild Wars 3's base game in Cantha with a complete engine rebuild and a bunch of new core systems. Wrap up the dragon storyline in a living world season or two. Accounting for the inevitable delay, this will likely come around the game's tenth anniversary.I have a feeling this comes way too late. Still, I like GW2 for what it is so it's welcome.
god noIs this shit any good yet?
