Because TSW has incredibly shit combat that you cannot avoid for more than a few seconds at a time and GW2 is just plain shit.

Don't see the difference to ESO

And I am telling you, that is the wrong question. The question is why do you play them at all?

That is indeed a good question, you might have a point there. This question appears to be extremely involved and in the future will surely lead to intricate answers and theories. However, I makes much more sense to focus on easier questions first such as "why play ESO" and leave the aforementioned one open at this time.

I was going to argue this, but seeing as we're just being edgy I'll rather just leave it. :)

I think I'll go play some ESO now.

Don't you like edgy? Do you prefer dull? Sorry, you play ESO, I guess this question has already been answered.

Switching to the Morrowind faction suddenly makes the game playable due to Morrowind nostalgia.

Also assassins are nice because you kill shit super fast, shortening quests.

IGN reviews:

To be explicitly clear, if you don’t enjoy MMORPGs, you probably won’t enjoy The Elder Scrolls Online. Its strong character progression and combat systems better suit the offline Elder Scrolls games than in most MMOs, but it’s very much a game about adventuring with other players. As a fan of both MMORPGs and the Elder Scrolls series, I found it to be one of the most rewarding games in the genre in years. Even while it’s troubled by some extremely annoying bugs and will probably never look great, I’ve loved my time questing through Tamriel, and I look forward to logging back in soon.

Good - Elder Scrolls Online is fun, as long as you remember it's predominantly an MMO.

A really well writen piece imho, check it out!

Useful tip: animation canceling yields great rewards in this game because many animations are very long, especially for Nightblades. Using skills cancels light attack animations, and tapping the right mouse button to block cancels skill animations. So if you maintain a constant rotation of light attack-skill-block-light attack-skill-block, you'll get a 50-60% dps boost over simply chaining skills together.

Looks rather weird, but them's the breaks for a pro gamer.

Losing your bank inventory sort of loses its sting when everything can be easily duped.
