Yep, they love $$$$$..... and saps.

Play DQ5 for a more mature story, but yeah overall DQ is more childish than all its peirs.Never played any of the DQ games in the past, decided to try DQ11, and after ~10 hours of forcing myself through this snorefest I think this is easily one of the worst jrpgs I've ever played.
Everything about it is jarringly simplistic - story, characters, combat, overall gameplay - very linear and bare bones. Feels like a game made to be a 1st jrpg for small children. I'm frankly a bit baffled, considering the series popularity and cult status - is it purely nostalgia based, are all of them like this? Maybe it becomes better in the 2nd half or something & I should give it a chance? So far if I had to rate all ~50 or so jrpgs I've played since snes/genesis era, excluding indies I'd put this one at the absolute bottom.
Also the music is horrendous, it literally hurts my ears.
What? Heresy. It's actually good, at least for the DQs I played. Also the music is horrendous, it literally hurts my ears.
Oh yeah... Titty tassels twirrling cyclone attack. The jiggle factor would be off the charts. I think she should have a motor assist pullcord like a mower for combined synergy assist attacks (main protag needs to help). It never starts on the first pull.... that's the suspense! The token censorship on the bikini armour was hilarious too. Like, why even bother making such a signal? They're going to bitch about it anyways, just tell anyone complaining about it to fuck off. If I were doing a remake these days I think I'd do some reverse censorship and make an outfit skimpier just to troll the retarded urinalists.
This mod aims to create the most authentic original experience within the HD-2D remake.
This (*will eventually) includes a full overhaul of the game's localization, character designs, etc to most accurately reflect the original artwork & language of the 1989 classic and bring forth that vision in to the modern age.

recruitable monsters only appear during specified times of the day. the game tutorializes this in the third(?) village, where a healslime only appears at dusk specifically. Is there a point to resting until dusk? I know night/day changes NPC dialogue and positions which unlocks new content but idk what the point of dusk is,
