Heck, one can be happy if the text isn't full of spelling and grammar errors. Additionally, there is also a very large focus on fetish stuff which is meh. So you don't really have the Western equivalent of a pure love -> one sex scene at the end of the route game. It's almost always just sex with dreadful writing (not to mention, when they tackle some issue with depth, it's always done in a pretentious way) and almost always terrible 3D models. Though, the worst part is the degenerate fans donating way too much money and rating utter crap really highly.

Can't be helped, industry will steer toward that direction due to lower production costs/scalability.
But even for 3D anime CGs, it results in less stylistic variations (visual convergence); like paintings vs sculptures.

I find it almost criminal that this game is not included on the poll. I saw it was briefly mentioned earlier in this thread, but it really deserves a stronger presence. While the art and theme certainly draw heavily from that-artstyle-which-will-not-be-named from the cursed isle of Japan, the mechanics of this game are deep indeed. On higher difficulties:

-Choices, primarily in the form of "edicts" (essentially prison management choices and character perks), are critical and impactful;
-Money is scarce and valuable;
-Save scumming is frowned upon and restricted in the form of automatic autosaving between battles;
-Losing is a real threat, you can't just expect to flail wildly through the game and succeed;
-And perhaps most importantly, despite the actual difficulty mentioned above (rare for adult games), this game simultaneously succeeds at delivering excellent adult content.

Furthermore, the game is easily moddable, so difficulty can be further adjusted as desired. Really, if you can even remotely stomach the artstyle, this is a fantastic and immersive RPG.
