We are planing on live steaming sessions, and it is a project that might make sense in Early Access. No decisions on that yet though.
There will also be a search for groups to start testing things out. Not sure exactly when.

Thanks for that!

Here is a full set of dice for testing. Still some scale issues. But they function.
1D4 is as underwhelming to roll ing-ame as in real life.

That looks awesome! I hope you make it as modable as possible, then there's pretty much unlimited potential.

As usual, this is miniature lovers art porn or something. Well done :)
The glowing "winning" number is a very nice touch btw.

Thanks once again!

Jason finished up a classic barbarian for the party. One of many to come I'm sure.

I've been working on the Asset Loading system. Decoupling the Assets from the project. Taking a while.

Looks fantastic! Getting Hero Quest vibes :) How far along is the game?

Heh, they should just offer a "miniature shelves simulator", bit like a screensaver in which you can just watch your miniature collection, which of course they'd sell :)

Fantastic, I like the dwarf. Maybe a bitt too much "wash" on the barbarian.

How did I miss this? Fantastic concept and top notch work as we're accustomed to seeing from you even back in the NWN2 days.

Jason Roy is very inspired by Hero Quest for this project for sure. Good to see it shining through! Thanks!

The art dudes would be all of us I suppose, and would be happy to reveal our "secrets" ;)
No need to hunting, unless you want to come by for tea.

im buying the fuck out of this
Awesome! Much appreciated

Thanks! They are rather alluring and enjoyable to work with

Moneys! We would probably need a dust accumulator system. Interactive desktop ;)

Very cool! We have a automatic process using Substance Designer which does the wash etc, I'll be adding a slider to help reduce it.

Thanks dude! Great to see you around here as well :D

Your mom
Jonny Ree I'm late to the party, but I've stumbled here after looking up tabletop simulators and I have to say this stuff just blows everything else out of the water. I've always toyed with the idea of playing Dungeons and Dragons on PnP and never got around to it because none of my real life friends would ever be interested, but I'd definitely be up to playing this online.

If you partnered with Wizards of the Coast to fully integrate 5E material into this (at least as the main alternative to your own ruleset) I can't imagine this not being wildly successful. It seems to be a much safer bet, because you already have a tried and proven, player approved, ruleset to work with, not to mention a massive brand to carry the product.

Echoing what mutonizer said, think of how much you could milk this just by periodically releasing additional 5E modules and creatures as DLC, it would be insane (and the money would be well earned!). You'd even already have all of the concept art to work with from the sourcebooks. Hell, you could even go a step further and make the miniatures customizable with items and maybe even a simplified miniature creator for player characters - choose stance, body type, hair, clothes, etc, though that might be challenging to implement without breaking their uniform and clean aesthetic.

Anyways, really looking forward to hearing more about this!

Gay-Lussac: Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm pleased to hear you like what you're seeing.
It would be pretty amazing to partner up with Wizards of the Coast, perhaps once we have something people could start playing around with we should see if there would be any interest amongst them.
The second part you mentioned about with customizing miniatures is also something we would absolutely love to do. Luckily, the way the system is built, this would be possible to add at a later iteration as well. This would be especially useful for the major races for sure.
Thanks again for your input! Hope we can give you some more updates soon.

It's been a while since I've updated anything here. Mainly because I've been trying to create an Asset loading system that will clean up the main project and make it easier to add content separately.
So I've created a tool I've dubbed Taleweaver toolset which we'll be using internally, and hopefully later enable people to mod the game. Providing the tools, basically.

Is that rabbit eating the upside-down bird thing's butt?
Yes. That is exactly what it is.
It's actually the name of our first module, we'll be playtesting soon. "Thy rabbit eating upside-down bird's arse"
Some people have described it as slightly risque. But we'll be handling it with care.

Any updates from the last month?
Nothing too visual unfortunately. I've also moved cities so which has been eating up a bit of time. What has been done is that we finished the first iteration of our content tool, which is part of our content loading pipeline.
This will also enable people to mod the game. This spawned a major rewrite of both how assets area spawned into the game and how networking works. Jason has been actively adding more assets which we'll need to run through this system shortly.
I hope to have something more visual to show again soon.

Here are some less interesting Screenshots (maybe?)
First one features the TileEditor to define tiles that will go ingame: (there are likely multiple typos, I apologize)

And here is a temporary ingame seach menu for finding assets:
