I'm not sure what that poster is. I'm pretty sure I'm not as well versed in American film as you are/might be. It's just my favourite class is the Monk.
And I also enjoy it a lot when an RPG describes a full round of combat seamlessly... after you, as the player, give the pertinent commands, and the A.I. does so too, of course.

Standin' pretty. In this dust that was a city.
"Not attempted" is a major restriction, a lot has been tried but failed, still:

  1. Fantasy post-apocalypse like Dark Sun (It's almost been 30y since last game) or Arx Fatalis. Reasonable medieval like society built from ground up, but set in some dire world scenario.
  2. PROPER sci-fi exploration RPG like ME:A absolutely fucked up, or how In Other Waters approaches the subject of Subnautica, but RPG. Functional ecosystem, believable alien species etc.

My hobo rat hunting crazy parents fight with Jesus & God isn't an RPG. And there's so much more like dodging flying dogs trying to kill me on my bike, my battles against bees, ants, weeds, deer, squirrels, and wackjob fuckers trying to run me over. Broken shit delivered to me and the big box stores saying FUCK OFF NO REFUND. Shit, my working in a Thai kitchen getting paid under the table was a mega fucking nightmare adventure. Place was disgusting. Who the fuck would eat there.

Many greyhound and airflights across the country as I got exiled from the property i tried to take care of.

Btw, they're so feeble now they realize they'd lose the property if I left. And my walkabout is rather cancelled because it seems i broke every toe in my left foot somehow. I guess leaping over that guardrail with my bike fucked it up and the bike. All to get away from some dude who wanted to run me over. Fucking asshole. Man, every day is RPG for me.

In that VR do you fuck the hell outta Neptune?

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Spy thriller RPG set in the '80s, in the style of the modern Hitman games (large open maps). Serious tone, lots of C&C, which means murdering dudes should be a last resort, but still fully viable if you want to go full psycho. Lots of cool 80s weapons and gadgets - think MacGyver.

OH! THE MAGIC OF...

or did you mean the renake... meh...

why not expand upon that world with Airwolf, A-Team, Knightrider, Magnum PI, Fall Guy, TJ Hooker, Dukes Of Hazzard, Rockford files, Streethawk, Hardcastle & McCormick, The Equalizer, RoboCop, Terminator, Captain Power, The Highwayman, Baywatch Nights..... eh.... maybe that's too much bloated 80s.

Lack of an open-world gambling RPG is really weird.

New Vegas is the closest thing so far, but a video game like The Hustler or The Cincinnati Kid would be awesome. Instead of random encounters you have prop bets, at low levels you start off grinding 1/2 cash games and eventually reach the WSOP, comp hustling instead of inventory management, throw in some Casino-style Mafia side missions where you break card counter's kneecaps, a morality system where you side with the advantage players or the house, seems like easy money. Player housing where you micromanage your income to stay closer to the strip or commute longer to save cash, maybe get mugged on your way back to your place, performance-enhancing drugs as a gameplay mechanic, different levels of danger associated with loans, there's so much potential.

Watch_Dogs 1 had a surprisingly robust poker minigame, so it's not like it would be that hard to produce. Maybe make it a roguelike where when your bankroll busts your character is retired and you roll up a new one

My clear winner as a huge fan of Hammett, Todd, and investigation games. I have many many thoughts on minimum design requirements for an investigation game to be good. Hire me as a design consultant and QA tester. I get paid up front.

A game where you roleplay a grognard on a site tangentally related to role-playing games.

Huge cast, lots of stats, infinite replayability.

I ain't gonna lie, I knew someone would eventually post a meta reply, and I promised myself I won't laugh, but I like the form in which you put it. Good job. You got a smile out of me.

Give me east euro jank with perfect atmosphere, music, Slavic themes, etc. And I will personally buy 100 copies.

Or sci-fi, a big focus on exploration, alien species etc. Without being cringe like ME:A or disgusting leftist crap like outer worlds.

Witcher series at release, STALKER series, Gothic (I know. I know, but it still fits the rest of the bill), Mafia 1, anything else by GSC. Basically defined by horrible animations and general half baked quality, but with high quality settings and stories.

arcanum sequel that is party based with vehicle combat stage coaches and early motor cars/bikes similar to fallout tactics. Also survival gameplay and vastly improved companions that contribute to the group and make the player believe they in a living world rather then being tools that simply follow the protagonist. No retarded game mechanics that turn the game into a slog just PURE fun.

Some of these ideas are kinda weird. I like the idea of a stealth RPG and I like the idea of a RPG taking place during the Punic Wars, but merging the two concepts doesn't seem to make any fucking sense whatsoever.

Arcanum missed the boat on vehicle combat like Roadwar 2000/Europa. i forget the name of that current TBT vehicle combat game.
