Oh, and thanks for utterly ruining the alert functionality. When it was half-full of "blahblah brofisted your post", it was bad enough. When 95% of it are "blahblah pressed some retarded button for lulz", it is officially useless. From now on, we are all Brazilian Slaughters, I guess. Very funny.

Come to think of it, I propose the 2012-13 season to be the official alert DarkUnderlord time. Or, how about, alert Taluntain?

Can any bros give us a tutorial on how to completely block this system? I've already disabled alerts, but I don't want to see this junk underneath each post.
You have adblock? Install 'element hiding helper' and disable brofist notification (or just ignore the twerp that is abusing it)

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
You have not replied to my complaint about the colourful pictures at the bottom of each post, DU. Those are annoying and the worst thing about the new rating functionality. I don't want to see lots of pictures every time I browse a thread.

I miss seeing the name of the bro that brofisted my post or a post I liked. This allowed me to build friendships and get to know the people behind their avatars, or 'stalk' other bros who had similar interests to me. Those were useful features. Now everything is anonymous...having to go to the user CP to view who did what is too slow and cumbersome to be practical.

... or you could use the in-built option and just change your alert preferences (remove the tick next to "Alert me when someone brofists your message").

But the CSS you want to hide is the "dark_postrating" div.

Yeah, I'm thinking they should only appear on hover over. Mind you I think 90% of the problem is just people spamming them in this thread. Most "normal" threads are fine.

I'm using Chrome.

I was responding to SCO who suggested the same thing. :smug:

... and mondblut who just asked the same question.

Most "normal" threads are fine.
That's because everyone is browsing this thread atm.
No, actually they're not. If you click on the "Who's Online" you actually get to see what everyone is browsing.

I almost brofisted that, then I realized I adblocked the whole piece of shit :( Well, back to "me 2" comments!

To go with the new icons I've come up with a new forum design!

I was only trying to participate in coming up with ideas for the site. I honestly had forgotten all about this till someone messaged me to tell me what horrors I had unleashed, as if I had coded it. Believe me, if I had coded it, it would be buggy and broken.

ba-dum-kssssssssssssssssssh!

The lolz, hate, scorn, and all the other incline/decline in this thread is just a bonus.

If someone wants to do it to you, they can shower you with alerts on your old posts. I woke up with almost 600 of them this morning, so not posting won't hold back the barbarian hordes.

Oh come on, we might not have gotten consent first, but you know you ended up enjoying what ironyuri, Menckenstein, SuicideBunny and I did to you. I was considering finishing the job today, since I hate to leave anything unfinished, but DU seems to have taken my rating 'privileges' away.

You were a special case, and I'd ask for them back on that basis, but I've found that the codex loads a bit faster for me now that I can't rate posts, so I quite like this development.

I would offer you a race-fist, Don, but I do not have the mental faculties to do so.
