I wonder how a really minimalistic difficulty mod for STALKER would work out:
NPC grenades (in SoC) and grenades scaled up to SoC level (in CoP) would be nice though, same with poor armor penetration for pistol rounds.
- All bleeding is amplified and doesn't stop over time unless below a very low threshold
- No consumables restore health.
- Medkits and bandages only stop bleeding, but each type only works below certain bleeding threshold/above certain health threshold
- Health doesn't regenerate unless above certain threshold (say 75%)
- Artifact assisted regeneration has thresholds as well (lower for higher grade artifacts, say 25% for Soul, 50% for chunk of meat in SoC)
- Restoring non-regenerating health only possible by visiting an NPC (like CoP doctors), maybe add a rare and expensive artifact that can heal you fully but is consumed in the process.
