For people in Russia? Yes, absolutely, dying at 66 is normal, even old. For people in normal countries however, 66 is an unusually young age to die. Just making a clarification so you can see how your culture affects discussion with people from normal countries.Usually people JUST die in this age, but in this year they all died from covid of course.

I making this clarification too to show how your ignorancy affect discussion too.ust making a clarification so you can see how your culture affects discussion with people from normal countries.
Sergei created a world combining the unique blend of the results of the doomed soviet ambitions, the post-soviet destruction and Eastern-European desperation.
New animations, different (mostly nice) shooting feeling and every upgrade in the weapon can be seen on the gun itself. How is the Gunslinger Mod compared to others? Does it make shooting a better experience or better guns or what?
I reinstalled CoP to check some stuff and I noticed that some of the DX11 mode options are missing, tessellation is now only a simple on/off switch, and the contact hardening shadows option is completely gone. When did this happen? I assume it's probably the latest patch version that I didn't have back then when playing, but why would they do that?

Conversely i am 10 hours into yet another NLC7 playthrough in spite of its AWFUL translation.

After hearing you giving it praises and BoredGunner's "ballslurping" of this mod I went down a rabbit hole of wanting to play it but making a better machine translation.
The current version uses a suboptimal translation algorithm, so I tried the newest version of Google's translate and found it was a definitive improvement. I also translated less text at a time to avoid "polluting the context."
After comparing a few files - it looks like this is definitely a better translation but still pretty rough around the edges. It wasn't playtested though - so there might be some weird shit (I have no idea if the Ukrainian stuff was properly translated).
Problem was the game wouldn't start so I probably corrupted the file - fixable but I'd have to make a few passes over my script.
I threw the work away because I decided I'd wait for a full-on hand translation, but if there's interest I'll try to get my machine translation up in the next week or so.
I love where gunslinger is headed but I think it's still pretty rough.
You have horrific optimization, super powerful burers, and a bunch of missing guns. Personally I'm planning to pop my gunslinger cherry once it's a bit more stable and they've done a few passthroughs on balancing everything.
In the meantime I looked into OWR3 for a Vanilla+ experience and I hated the author incorporating a bunch of extraneous shit in a weapon mod - with no indication of doing so (i.e. engine hacks, aggressive bandits, weapon damage completely changed). Meanwhile his SoC version doesn't do ANY of this.
Really like the weapon models & animations though - so I spent an embarrassingly long time stripping out all of the cruft.
Behold: OWR3 LITE - everything kept as vanilla as possible with the exception of graphics and animations.
I've almost finished my CoP playthrough using it - and aside from an issue where I periodically have to delete my shaders cache (wherever your appdata is located) to get the game to load - it's pretty good.
I also want to figure out a way to made the unique weapons' scopes & silencers detachable (not being able to use Strelok's SIG 550 as a true CQB weapon is awful).
Running with OWR3 Lite - AN3Lite (good call on that, Cretin) - and Absolute Structures and am having a blast. It's amazing how much of a difference the first 2 make in prettying the game up.

Nice job, i may have to play through with your version because I played through with OWR3 a long time ago and IIRC some of his edits just fucking broke the game. I remember pripyat being literally EMPTY of a-life except for tushkano. It's also really ANNOYING when people claim to be doing some vanilla shit and then they do stuff like edit the damages or the accuracy because of some halfbaked idea they have about "realism" (the variety of which they got from hollywood movies and low TTK fpses, not actual reality)
whenever some reddit fag is all like "oh you LIKE bullet sponges?" I feel like
Highlights in version 1.5.1 since version 1.5.0 Beta

- Engine inventory is remade completely in lua, for full control over its functionality
- 3D UI for RF and Anomaly detector

Well, I only have an integrated video card that runs CoP well with static lighting. Will that do for the mod?Performance will probably be better if you have an nvidia card. For me, the game with Gunslinger was running better on i5-4460 and GTX 970 than on Ryzen 5 3600 with RX 5700 XT, which is sad tbh. I tried using DXVK just out of curiosity, but of course it doesn't work with X-Ray engine.
As for the mod itself, it's not only better guns. There are many new animations and PiP scopes with proper rendering which could also affect FPS. Also, make sure to disable depth of field because it fucks with new PDA animations. In case of FPS drops, try switching between DX9/10/11 and switching between HDAO and HBAO. With this game, you never know how it will perform.
