That the euro teams made such a poor showing at the post-season tourney might have had something to do with the fact that they hadn't been able to practice with all of their teammates for several weeks following riots server split in EU. We'll see how things go now that everyone has had a chance to switch servers to play with their teammates again.

I wrote "serious dota teams". Of course a lot of pro gaming teams have LoL divisions for the cash and exposure to viewers, but if you think there are more genuinely interested gamers playing LoL competitively than other DotAs then we are at a disagreement.Phage said:

(At least on tt)Note that the first game is my first poppy game and the last game every one of those assists was me doing 90% of the damage and a faggot EZ ulting my kil or xin getting the last hitl. (including one not listed due to them having to chase down the teemo i destroyed)
Just watched IEM New York qualifiers. God damn, Rock Solid roflstomped TSM and CLG. Gangplank support, Maokai+Galio pick and a UberUdyr. Interesting game, refreshing to see some new high elo picks and tactics.

Played Ezrael as an AD carry. Went pretty well, managed to grab first blood thanks to Azael's poppy tanking quite well. Went for Sheen with my first money, which was probably a mistake, but whatever.
He was pretty fun but holy hell is he easy to kill, especially early game.

He lanes best with Soraka or Alistar, hes very squishy but pick Flash/Exhaust and you got 3 get out of jail free cards.

I think the reasoning is that what's cool about Gangplank is his inbuilt ranged slow and more than anything else, his E and the utility his ult brings. Well, these things don't need farm. So why not have him on the team as support?
He might not protect a carry that well, but his E wreaks havoc on ganks and with an aggressive carry.
Also, Phage, you're EU vs. NA is getting old. After all, the team that got roflstomped by the new shit were american.

Yeah, Gangpank with mana regen blues/yellows is able to constantly use his Q. Put him in a lane with Caitlyn and the two of them can consistently deal way more harass than the other support can heal, allowing you to win the lane.
Plus you have GP's E/R for teamfights/steals, and his DPS isn't horrendous without items.
