still no keys : ( (yes, i am going to post every day).
As will I!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No key as of yet... why can't there be a Brother None type HB rep that visits our Prestigious Magazine!

I don't have my key yet either. I'm p sure they're just staggering the keys for whatever reason (can be plenty of reasons for that), as long as I get it before game launch, there's little reason to complain.

I mean

Pretty good interview. Will be interesting to see how their 2nd kickstarter does. If Shadowrun's good ill most likely support it if the pitch up my alley.
it would be interesting if they tried to kickstart some of the sr dlc. wouldn't mind forking a few bucks for an add on with initiative, stealth, expanded decking and rigging or gm-master directed multiplayer in the vein of nwn.

Only if they guarantee the DLC will be steam only to upset DRMtards :smug:

But yeah. Assuming the base game is solid, I'd pay for an expansion that adds expanded stealth, more decking/rigging, more social/knowledge skills and some new environment tilesets. (London Underground anyone? Or Hong Kong? Maybe some wilderness tiles). Kickstarting an expansion also makes for obvious pledge tiers with/without copies of the base game and/or Berlin.

GM-master directed multiplayer probably won't happen. It's not an easy task to add multiplayer to a game that wasn't designed for it from the start.

Rename it to expansion.... I do sort agree a stealth system would be nice but I'm not sure. Going by the interview I suspect they want to launch a brand new IP.

Hey All - We finished sending out all keys this morning. If you haven't received your email, please check your spam box and shoot us a note at info@hbs-studios.com if it's not there. We definitely have quite a few that have bounced back to us so don't panic. We promise to sort it out. Thanks!

I GOT MY KEY!!! I GOT MY KEY!!! Or should I say I got three keys :smug:

Hello from HBS -

We have decided that in order to ensure that everyone has access to the game when we launch on July 25, we are sending out Steam keys earlier than expected.

At your pledge level, you are entitled to three Steam keys.
Please note that the keys will not unlock the game until it is released on July 25th.

1. ***Redacted***
2. ***Redacted***
3. ***Redacted***

When you launch Steam, look for “+ Add A Game” in the lower left corner and choose “Activate a Product on Steam.” When prompted for the product code, provide the Steam key. The game is not available for preload but it will show up in your Library. Once we flip the switch, you’ll be able to begin the download from Steam and start playing when it completes.

In addition, you will want this reward code:

***Redacted***

This will give you access to the SPECIAL ABILITY only available to Backers and your in-game DOC-WAGON benefit. After you download the game, just go to the “Options” screen in the game and enter the code into the appropriate box (highlight both lines all at once and copy-paste into the box).

On July 25, you can also download your DRM free version of the game, the desktop wallpaper, the Anthology PDF, and the soundtrack -- all of which will available from the HBS Account web site: https://account.harebrained-schemes.com/. If you did not receive an invite to this site in April, please follow that link and use the "forgotten password" feature, entering the address that this email has been sent to.

As a reminder, your physical rewards will begin shipping in the weeks after we launch the game. Your delivery date will be depend on your geographic location.

If you have any questions, please contact us at info@hbs-studios.com.

As Gitelman explained, "The real question for me is, 'Is Kickstarter a viable place where you can come with a new IP or an out-there idea and find an audience for that?' What I'm looking at with Kickstarter is whether we can really innovate in this space. Can we use that as a bully pulpit, and to cut through the noise enough to find an audience to support it?

Doesn't sound like they want to kickstart DLC/expansions to me.

^This. It sounds like they want to Kickstart a new IP (perhaps they didn't like MS dictating to them :troll: )

I imagine they will do really well as far as sales of Shadowrun goes. It being the biggest kickstarter title yet to release.

Really hope it's a good game. After all the bad news about kickstarter games they need something postive....

I'm still wondering if it's worth sacrificing a pizza for it
