Tanimura is kind of out of the question, since the actor voicing him and who he was modeled after became something of a persona non-grata in Japanese entertainment business after a drug use expose.

He retired of his own volition, because he got tired of the tabloids. The drug use was tested negative. IIRC he was suspected of being a homosexual as well.

Yea I don't really know much about it, just got the impression that it sounded awfully similar to the absolutely ridiculous shit idols get put through for "infractions" and that his retirement was not really all that voluntary.

You're going to be disappointed then. It will be very much like Yakuza.

And that's just fine with me, as far as I'm concerned Yakuza's core gameplay loop is one of the most entertaining of all time.

I just wish they would give more thought to balancing. The games are way too fucking easy as it is.

Except Kiwami's final boss. Fuck. That. Shit.

I don't mind. There's a lot to be said about the catharsis involved in playing as a OP tough motherfucker who pummels their way through dozens of enemies without breaking a sweat while being extremely stylish.

I think it's also something you just have to also adjust the view of what defines challenge: Instead of "do not die", view it as "aim for perfect success." Sure you can do the former just by upping the difficulty (though truthfully in RGG studio's games that's more than anything about the player's comfort zone for the following kind of difficulty), but there's nothing wrong with the alternative mode of challenge either. It's also the way to approach these things, since like the case with the Arkham series being that Batman is such a huge badass that common goons shouldn't genuinely threaten him, Kiryu is also the baddest ass in town and the same applies. Same with Kenshiro. It's the sort of set-up where the challenge being in aiming for perfect fits much better.

I really hated that tacky suit and was sad when he switched from the decent starting one to it.

I strongly disagree with comparing Kiryu to Lu Bu. Lu Bu's such a bitch-faggot, it's offensive to even suggest he deserves mention in the same phrase as Kiryu.

Well it's still a Yakuza game so I'll probably jerk off to it regardless but I wish the game gets to be refreshing enough and not just a poorly disguised rehash of the same game.

For those playing Fist of the North Star, the lone building surrounded by jagged ground in Southern Dunes has a barter trader that can trade you rare materials like Refined stuff, carbon fibers, and sapphires.

Also, the game is kind of confusing in describing how Hokuto Merciful Execution is executed, it's actually something you can do after dodging provided you have two guys nearby who could have their channeling points hit. All in all it's an all around better version of Hokuto Twin Execution with easier input and higher damage.

Which brings us to what I feel being the two important things to beeline when it comes to the level up trees: Toki's training (both of his Secret Techniques are really useful, even if the latter one only really starts to show its value when you get more serious with Duels at the Colosseum), and Ki Field and its Expansions.

The PlayStation 4 version of Yakuza 4 will launch on January 17, 2019 in Japan, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

The magazine also has information about Masayoshi Tanimura, who is one of the main characters of the game. Some of his lines needed to be revised and re-recorded, and since his original voice actor Hiroki Narimiya has since retired from voice acting, his character model and voice actor have been changed. In the PlayStation 4 version of the game, Toshiki Masuda will play Masayoshi Tanimura.
