What is "opening s"?Having Dark Sun at #31 is not a good list. It had one of the best opening s of any rpgs.

How many top RPGs is this list? Considering numbers of votes, imo it doesn't make sense to make it more than Top 50, the rest can fall into 'hidden gem' categoryTop RPGs.xlsx
Feel free to double-check the numbers if you want (it will take a while).
Also please confirm that the link is read-only.
Wasn't this Top 101?:How many top RPGs is this list?
It's been 5 years since we did the Top 101 PC RPGs list.
The number changed every time.Wasn't this Top 101?:How many top RPGs is this list?

And don't you forget it.number 2, Baldur's Gate 3
It definitely shouldn't be 101. I think 50-70 is a good cutoff. Keep in mind there's going to be a Hidden Gems list as well, so it might be something like 70+20 or 60+15.The number changed every time.Wasn't this Top 101?:How many top RPGs is this list?

It also makes no sense to add to the list games that only 3 dudes voted for. It becomes too random of a variable, and also will consequently fuck 'hidden gem' list limiting it to some titles with a single vote or two for them.
So Top ~50 and then calculating 'hidden gems' seems a more balanced approach.
Butter what's your approach?
The games at the bottom of the top 101 list were voted for by anywhere from 4-7 people. I think Undertale had the fewest with 4. That corresponds to the top 83 on this list, but I don't want to include Skyrim.I think a top 20 makes more sense. The rest of them has too little votes.
50 is a nice intuitive number that won't make people wonder 'why did they cut off at 60/70?' And 9/10 people at the minimum is still acceptable. 4 or 5 is not, imo.It definitely shouldn't be 101. But Prelude to Darkness was only mentioned by 4 people.50 is a nice intuitive number that won't make people wonder 'why did they cut off at 60/70?' And 9/10 people at the minimum is still acceptable. 4 or 5 is not, imo.
As for hidden gems, idk how many votes were there, so probably limiting it to 20 will be a good idea, or even 10 if 20th wouldn't have at least 3 votes.

Sometimes quality is more important than quantity.
Opinion is like an asshole, everybody's got one. Hence, such gem.Vtmb, Morrowind and fucking New Vegas shouldn't be anywhere top 10, that's a disgrace
According to what metric?Vtmb, Morrowind and fucking New Vegas shouldn't be anywhere top 10, that's a disgrace
Agree on Morrowind, but it's always been popular here(since like 2010 at least). Pretty sure it's been in the top 10 on every list because it's the ultimate game for people who love walking around empty worlds with no challenging combat, simple character building, no C&C, and reading in game lore books.Vtmb, Morrowind and fucking New Vegas shouldn't be anywhere top 10, that's a disgrace
I added a third contender, which I think might be best: 62 + 15.The first list is much better than the second.
