https://www.gematsu.com/2023/06/red-dead-redemption-rated-in-korea-in-2023

The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea published a new rating for Red Dead Redemption on June 15.

The new rating carries the classification number “CC-NV-230615-001.” In Korean game ratings, “NV” refers to console games, while “NP” refers to PC games. (Though a console rating does not exclude the existence of a PC version, and vice-versa.)

Twitter user Budzcario seemingly claims that a Red Dead Redemption “remaster” will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 17, 2023. Budzcario says that Rockstar will reveal the game in August 2023, ahead of its release this fall. The tweet isn’t explicitly clear at first, but further replies contextually suggest that this fall release date is in reference to Red Dead Redemption.
Former IGN editor Colin Moriarty has also said he’s heard a Red Dead Redemption remaster will be announced soon (via GamingRoute).

“I can say I have seen confirmation that this is real,” Moriarty said on an episode of the Sacred Symbols podcast. “Maybe even imminently with an announcement in August.”

It looks like Rockstar is gearing up to release #RDR1 on PC.

I've probably said this before but watch it be a port of the Switch version.

At this point emulation can do better job - both Xenia (X360) and various Switch emulator.
With better resolution and other fancy additions...
too late now

If this is going to be a PSN only title and they don't plan on a Steam release, there's going to be a riot.

A game I never had the pleasure to play. Some people swear it's better than RDR2. Nostalgia, or true?

It does some things better than RDR2. But that’s only because RDR2 took a massive step backwards on some things instead of improving them. Like Bounty Hunter missions in Redemption are better, but that’s only because in 2 they became these little bullshit cinematic event moments; but it isn’t like the Bounty Hunter missions in Redemption are good either, they’re just better than what replaced them.

But the fucking around stuff in 2, like hunting, that’s way better than Redemption.

Undead Nightmare is pretty fun though.

The text has been removed from PSN, maybe they accidentally revealed the PC version too early.

Rockstar have a giant bug up their ass about Steam and PC gaming in general, so honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if they did some weird PC exclusive release on the PSN store or something retarded like it. Would also go hand-in-hand with Sony making PSN accounts required for their PC games as well.

I swear I've been hearing that news every year for the last three years. Why don't you just play it on emulator, it's not like the PC version will be any better?

Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare Coming to PC October 29

October 8, 2024
For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning, new detail, with both Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie-horror companion story, Undead Nightmare, arriving to PC on October 29.

In collaboration with Double Eleven, this new version adds PC-specific enhancements including native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.

There’s also support for NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, adjustable draw distances, shadow quality settings, and more.

Check out the new trailer above and stay tuned for more details, including information later this week on how to pre-purchase Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare at the Rockstar Store, Steam, or the Epic Games Store.

Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare are also currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox.
