Channel is back. Unsurprisingly it's just a bunch of juvenile videos with titles like Man Marries Pig, Beating Up Adolf Hitler, KKK Leader Depressed by How Dumb KKK Members Are, and Sucking Off Strangers. The Youtuber is clearly taking joy in testing the confines of an open world game as any sane person would, but they didn't bank on the videos about feminists being picked up by the media. Seems quite similar to that time a Youtuber's video was removed for testing a stab-proof vest because the Daily Mail linked it to a terror attack on a police officer. The article had the best title ever - 'Google blood money: Web giant cashes in on vile seven-minute video showing ‘knife expert’ penetrating a stab vest like the one worn by murdered Westminster PC.'

Let's face it, once you look past the triple-AAA sheen, the game is underwhelming in almost all areas. A prequel story (ie: creatively bankrupt) to a story that just ain't that interesting in the first place, and some more by the numbers, no-risks taken open-world gameplay. Really, things haven't moved on since GTA4.

I think the most sickening aspect is that Rockstar just keep getting away with it. They try to have this edgy, counter-culture persona, but in reality they are just a mega-corporate, greedy outfit. The fact that they actually *choose* to treat their staff like complete worthless shit, when they could provide them with some of the best working standards in the industry, is just the cherry on the cake.

I won't be buying this game. It is a shame that Bully 2, at least a more interesting premise, will probably be exactly the same shit too.

Rockstar fans are NPCs so it's no small wonder that they can keep getting away with poor design. Just add some low effort nonsensical shit that will spawn crazy headliners and rake in the money as people buy a video game for its realism.

So is the game any good? Some of the videos make it look as boring as GTA IV/V.
Like someone in this thread said, if you played one you played them all.
It brings nothing new, not one thing, resources poured on polishing everything, horse balls growing and shrinking (they were actually pretty proud of this achievement in an interview), watching water realistically dry on clothes and watching beard growing in real time. The same mission structure, walk, shoot, deviate from how the mission is supposed to go and you get a mission failed. Classic.
The world is pretty, good voice acting, realism through and through, a lot of cutscenes, shiny clean graphics. What else you need? Gameplay? Not here. It's not like Rockstar is making games or anything I mean come on.

Holy shit. What a review from a guy that hasn't played it. But that was obvious once you said "no-risks taken open-world gameplay". Its slow paced almost slav-like gameplay is the most unique in Rockstar's catalogue to date.
Off yourself you waste of oxygen scum.

because you have to swat alot to loot things, wtf is this nonsense? Being more unique than rockstars other stuff doesnt mean much anymore since gta3 was released.

Yes, so the game needs more ways to interact with the world. I also agree with Rodcocker.
  1. Like grappling hook and fully destructible environment (do not take this sentence literally), and way to construct traps and perhaps do stealth in more varied manner. MGSV style of mechanics in this game would be excellent - it needs more ways to play and touch the characters of the game world. As of now it's quite a whack-a-mole type of experience no matter how many times you can brush your horse or bath or drink hair tonics.
I had more fun playing RDR1 than this one.
Can you actually even light grass fires? I don't remember if it's possible to burn grass and trees and let the fire spread? If not well even that would be cool to be able to do something like in Far Cry 2 and so on. I'm kicking a dead horse though. When the game's released on PC the modding community will take care of lot of things. We are looking at year 2021 at this point probably. I am a cuck, butthurt and aliens.

I still think I kind of understand what they were trying to accomplish with the game. They tried to push the original GTA3 formula to the maximum and leave it as that, combining the simple formula while making it more immersive in their own way without caring what other people will or might say. Maybe it is intentional or maybe not, who knows. Maybe it is a product of lines of coke on producers' desk.

Finally finished the single player with 90 something completion. Some impressions...

1. Voice acting is probably the best I have heard in any game, simply amazing casting.

2. Story and characters are great, I really enjoyed how the camp atmosphere and personalities degenerated as things got more desperate.

3. Arthur was a great lead, I was truly sad to see him breath his last while watching the sunset. It was also very stressful for me to watch as his disease got worse and he had more labored, as I'm still at home on medical leave due to respiratory problems myself, so that triggered a lot of anxiety.

4. Micah was a really good villain, more than Dutch, and the way he continued to alienate dutch from the rest of the gang was well done.

5. World design and how it was built with such fidelity, left me often with my mouth open.

6. World felt a bit empty of quality activities beyond the stranger missions.

7. Stranger missions and stories were often better than the main missions, truly had a lot of fun finding the missing robot out on the mountains.

8. The epilogues were way too extensive, and felt unnecessary, they could have ended it in a more simple way, killing Micah a few months later, like RDR 1.

9. Overall, had a bunch of fun, and was hooked enough to be excitedly awaiting the online game, something that I rarely play in any other games.

Please remember the abuse of Native American people. Some call them Gypsies or Eskimos but I call them Oggo-Boggos. RDR2 doesn't hide it's abuse at all.

Dutch: I got a plan John
John: You always got a plan Dutch

Arthur: And it always involves a GODDAMN TRAIN.

Also the speech he gives here matches the moment in 2 when they're caught in dead end by the army.

Anyone want to join my Kodex Kool Klub gang when the online multiplayer hits? Dress code is all white with an executioner hood. The prime mission will be to ride around on horses and hunt down minorities and women to lynch/drag behind our horses. That's it.

The media will have a fit. We might actually make it on CNN/BBC.

Usually, I hate when games or movies do this whole "hey, remember when he said/did that!?!?!" thing, but this time it works pretty well. It shows just how insane Dutch really was during the events in RDR1. He's just constantly repeating phrases from his past. Dude's truly gone by the time John confronts him on that mountain. At least, I think that was the intention.

I've seen a lot of topics about this on the net...

Hunting Legendary Animals and getting the "There is too much activity" message so you can't track it.

I've read a bunch of solutions, leave the area go far away and come back, setup a camp outside the area and sleep and come back. Go back to camp and sleep a few days and come back. Save/Reload until the message stops, etc..

Here's my 5 minute solution.

PRO Tip:
When you get the message "Entering Legendary Animal Territory", add a marker to the N,S,E,W of the white smokey area on the map.

Now what makes perfect sense since there is "too much activity"...START KILLING SHIT IN THE AREA YOU JUST MARKED OUT. Just kill everything you see.

Keep running around killing shit, after killing tons of shit and running around in my marked area, I got the "Entering Legendary Animal Territory" message again, but this time NO too much activity message.

I was then able to find the first clue and track and kill the beast.

With the benefit of loading up my horse with pelts.

I think I killed 7 legendary animals so far, with 3 giving me the "too much activity message" when I entered the area. Marking the area and running around and killing shit worked every time.

Marking is not necessary, I just find it easier for myself to stay inside the boundary as I start my animal killing spree.
