ITZ Coming

Don't worry too much. You will have to deal with it anyway, but the stronger your nation/characters the easier you will have it.

For example, if you conquer the Ashikaga, you will likelly have to fight the Iga too (they have another gourd). If you end up conquering those 2 there will be 2 gourds left (Oda's autobreaks in X turn). Then once you conquer 2 other houses with gourds you will have to deal with the superfuntime with relativelly few territories and lower level commanders, it would be easier if you don't finish of the Ashikaga to fast (keep in WAR with them, iirc that keeps the Iga for declaring war). But don't worry too much, the game is forgiving enough.

Some other tips:

-Don't worry with endgame points in the first playthough, that's for New Game+. You will likelly end up beating the game a dozen of times anyway.

-Don't make vassals, they are not worth it (only for very specific things like clearing X or Y chacter).

-When you release 5 prisoners at the same time you get a level up item (use them in Rance). If you release just 4 you won't get the item.

-Try to get the reinforcements early on, you won't be calling any more post-ITZ.

-There are some though Boss fights, make sure to keep your commanders leveled (specially Rance). Completing dungeons increases everyones level by 1, you also have the items you get from jail. Some characters are great in the battlefield and suck at dungeon/individual fights and viceversa.

Exactly. RNG is also not your friend, there is no shame in save scumming - the game practically requires it.

Another update - I get most beautiful girl in north Japan, recruited her father to fight next to me, get that animal guy to fight next to me and have reinforcments from both countries from Continent. Also, another unit is coming. Ninja Doggie tried to riot, but he was crushed again. Rance fucks everthing that get into his range... and is a woman, of course.

Peace lovers trying to attack me. Funny looking monsters have their lands finally. Probably will destroy and rape knight lady soon. Slowly aiming at getting more dungeon stuff, but I don't like idea of doing dungeons when I fight in war.

I'm also suprised with interesting amount of lore around those games. Wow, no, really. It could be simple eroge game with fight and tactic and instead it is connected to games before it and it have some really cool characters... I just wish Rance would show other face time to time. Do he even have one?

Won't spoil anything, but Sengoku Rance has a funny mix of Demon/Devil/Oni/Monster/Youkai words that tends to get confusing. Fyi, the Tenshi sect are "supposedly" devil worshipers (according to unfounded rumors ofc), demons are a different puppy.

Other then her 'expeditions'? Nope. Will do it. Also, Rance first time get really mad on my eyes. I think he is a bit of jerk, but he rather cares about people he know... at least womynz. And... everything go south becouse Suzume also is jerk. Welp.

For the record, I think most new players actually conquer too slowly or try to go too peaceful (if you're currently not at war, the game will randomly pick someone to go to war with you, so it's to your advantage to constantly be in war so that you can at least choose who you fight).

And just like the "randomly pick a war" thing, if you don't maintain this schedule of breaking a gourd roughly every ~20 turns, the game will pick a random one and break it for you, which means you may end up breaking more than you controlled for.

They're legitimately devil worshipers though they don't actually know it. The Tenshi Sect was created by a devil to steal souls and send them to Rathowm instead of Ludo (similar to how Feliss used to give wishes for souls but on a much larger scale).

Xavier knows this because he was around back in the day (Nighcisa era and the war against the Emperor Fujiwara where he (Xavier) was sent to attack JAPAN but got beaten for the first time.

And back then Xavier was a little bitch who was scared shitless by Kayblis.

I think Rance actually has a pretty good track record for caring about most of the important males in the series.

Rick, Nobunaga, Patton, Souun off the top of my head. He tried to kill Pitton (in a slapstick fashion) when he thought he was a threat to his girl-acquiring prospect but is OK with him after he gets the mistaken impression that he's gay.

The only guy I can think of that he really doesn't like is Rocky just to have a running gag that he's kind of a cockroach.

It can't be done without recruiting Omachi before hand (just as you need to have Hibachi to get one of the youkai cgs).
