In terms of maxing damage dealth, is the marginal utility of extra raw damage from might superior to extra accuracy or action speed from perception and dexterity respectively?

Might. Might is special this time around since it is applied after all the other damage multipliers.

i considered devoted but not sure if the bonus is worth it, the numerical values are not even specified in the class description and im not trudging through hours of nerd commando's probably outdated beta videos to see if it's any good, so just regular fighter, no subclass whatsoever

It is very much worth it and Devoted is one of the best classes in the game, if not the best.

There are no real shit classes :littlemissfun:

Rogues and Rangers would like to disagree with this statement.

Which is funny, because Rogue/Ranger multi is actually strong. Those classes exist only as multi addition though.

This class will really shine on 2nd+ playthrough though, when you know which weapons have some good uniques. Locking yourself to one weapon type (unproficient ones get penalties for devoted) is a big drawback in first playthrough.

Rogue was god tier in POE and ranger was A-tier after patches.
Did they become shit in POE2?

Meh, Josh said all weapons have competitive uniques, so I'm not worried about that. You also get a looooooooooot of benefits to your weapon of choice, so even if axes have the worst unique you still get the bonuses that matter. I've also heard you can get a second weapon of choice at one point, but I'm not sure if that's true.

Why is the PoE: Deadfire desktop icon so pixilated?

I'd hardly call rogue god tier in PoE1. Strong single target, but squishy and nothing else - needs a lot of micro to shine, other classes can get more done with the same attention. I liked the class, just don't think it's a powerhouse.

The wiki says +2 PEN and +25% crit damage, it that really that good?
I guess PEN is +-30% damage, but only if it gets you over the thresholds, does +2 matter so much?

So, does anyone know if respeccing is possible in Deadfire?

If not, is there some place where you can read about weapon bonuses before creating your character?

Is Iovara (elf-ghost in PoE1) and what you do with her mentioned in Deadfire at all?
There's a bit where if she and the inquisitor were lovers you can mention her as being an old girlfriend. I don't anticipate more than that though. To be honest, I didn't anticipate that much

Ok, fuck it. I jumped on the decline train and bought the game, I wanted to try it out anyway and people's work should always be paid.

Hopefully it's not as bad as I fear it's going to be. Fingers crossed for the last few hours.

Graphics will be nice but framerate drops in the big areas so game will be unplayable.
