The ground terrain has some bad aliasing. Someone forgot to enable mipmapping and anisotropic filtering?

Not sure, it was snakku recording this one and I don't check my settings when recording either.
Fun fact though, in Unity, setting up filtering is NOT a default global setting you can access and change on the fly like in sensible engines, meaning that devs will have to stick to either point/unfiltered or bilinerar or trilinear and set up anisotropy manually per-texture, like so.

This means that if a dev decides "I guess we doing retro look", you're stuck with it (think System Shock remake), or have what we had in our early days, which was a mish-mash.
I've spent a bit of time adding this setting into peri and it was worth it. I personally don't like the chonky pixels but people do appreciate the option and I often see screenshots with them.

Mipmaps are always on, tho.

The trick is to select NEAREST for magnification, but something like LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR for minification. That works for the retro look.

The game gives me strong E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy vibes, so I am somewhat interested. Shame about the game just entering Early Access, because it means it will likely still be quite some time until the final release.

Belgrade?
It's called that because the map is based on the yugobrutalist Western Gate of Belgrade building, aka Genex tower.

Main issues are the games saves. They're comically bad, overwriting whatever you did in your save; locking characters out of interaction and turning NPCs into statues who will refuse to talk to you because of something you've done before you reloaded.
I was trying to carry that android to Filmon but some goon shot the robot, turning it into shit. Reloaded the save and I couldn't talk to the android. Very, VERY annoying.
200% agree. Unity is absolutely abysmal when it comes to serializing anything, even paid assets for saves didn't work as intended. We're pretty optimistic the current iteration of our custom save system will finally fix the issues and we're aware this is the biggest problem for the game right now.

It's also pretty strange that there are no sci-fi weapons. If there are I haven't seen them. Don't get me wrong I love shit-rods and AKs as much as the next guy but you'd think that there would be some fictional firearms/melee weapons.
I've been meaning to reply for a while now, saw that one tweet that's causing a stir today and finally was able to put my thoughts into this.

Also one last gripe: I would really like for there to be a way to avoid fall damage. Make it an upgrade, a augmentation power-up, armor I don't care just something to avoid constantly having my damn legs crippled for jumping a few feet higher then I should have.
Future builds will point out the technique for minimizing fall dmg. It's been reported as a bug, so we're making sure it's understood as intended.

Thank you for the thorough response and clarification man. I wish I had seen this sooner but I forgot all about this account lol.
Great job on the progress you've made, can't wait to play the full (early access) game.
