It could be as simple as 'muricans equating square jaws with heroes of either gender. Also that empowered camera angle would make even a weak jaw look wider, it looks fine in the gameplay reveal. It's teutonic, look at Ilsa for example.

I think by the time ME Catalyst came out, I had already decided that the series would have been better in third-person view. She can't even look to the side while running.
